…after seeing Mallory wreck opposing defense’s every time that he’s in the game.

I told a bunch of porsters on here when he committed that he was that dude, and many still said that he was a JAG, and a consolation prize for not getting the bum that went to Texas.
 
Dude is looking legit, that's for sure.

You look at Fletcher, his numbers are good, but he's not getting the holes he got last year. I don't know what he's playing with health wise, but he's not hitting what's there like he used to or the holes aren't as big. You can't complain about him at all, you really can't.

Mallory just makes things happen in a different way, doesn't seem to need as much space, can drag people, and the cuts / vision is impressive. He's got the more complete game right now.

Fletcher been hurt since the wake forest with various injuries but still productive
 
Prime Frank Gore had the best attributes of all the backs currently on the roster. He is second to none, IMO.

But Mallory is a **** of a player in his own right, and if I squint he does remind me of post-prime Gore (who was still good enough to be a hall of famer).

Lyle ran hard as **** tonight. 9 for 42. Higher YPC than Fletch. We’re lucky to have so many good players back there.

But yeah, Mallory looks like an animal. Really, really excited for his future. I’ll do some breakdowns on his runs this week but for me it’s not the physical skills, which are obvious. It’s the vision and feel. He sees the game exceptionally well for an 18 year old. He made some runs tonight in areas where the play was not designed and that’s the barometer for a great back. Anyone can get what’s blocked. He got a LOT that was not blocked tonight.

people are insane. Fletch was hitting some of the best runs I've seen in a while for 5 yards. Making a guy miss in the hole, breaking 2 or 3 tackles. He carried our run game with some terrible blocking early in the year. he ran over half the Wake D on several plays
