My parents live in Opelika, I’m actually here right now visiting. Phenix City is right next door to them. It’s definitely Auburn territory, so they’ll be a player in his recruitment.

The facilities at Central are obscene. I swear it rivals some of the schools in Texas. I never knew how much money is invested in football down here until my parents moved here. There are very few places in Ohio that spends like some of the big programs around here. Seeing this here makes me even more impressed when I see that players that come out of programs like Central…they practice on dirt battlefields with no bleachers. Those conditions breed workhorses that earn their keep.

Auburn and A&M are going in on the spending. It makes sense for Auburn with a new coach. But you know what happens, next cycle it will be some other teams breaking the bank to get good. And sometimes teams seem to prioritize the portal v high school back and forth.
