He decommitted form Bama in first place. And seems like a few people are mentioning that this delay is due to them ponying up.
Well kinda doesnt make much sense for him to be about to go visit Auburn (like he was about to but cancelled) if it was big bag by Alabama that was offered. If by them you mean Auburn, i understand.
& i am speaking about in 2026 we haven’t heard of them involved much while neither team is getting OVs as far as I can tell (unless on3 or 247 said differently and i missed it). 247 doesnt have him visiting Alabama since he decommitted. He has spent a shocking amount of time at FSU.
Auburn made a big push for Daylyn so no surprise they’re doing the same for Jatori.
I think despite everyone rushing to commit, there was kinda no reason for williams to do that and committing in late June/July/early august like the other blue chippers who want to take visits is the better move. Everything else is just noise until he finishes with the OVs or makes a public commitment imo.
Even from the hometown kids, I’d still be wary of expecting a commit from a kid who doesn’t visit (saying this from the pov of auburn not having an OV publicly lined up with williams yet).
When he announced his top 5 a month ago, he had auburn but not Alabama in there. When he said he was going to commit on Thursday, he had Alabama but not auburn among his choices. I feel like the kid doesn’t want to rush his process twice.
The team that worries me most here is UGA more than auburn or Alabama tbh. They have been recruiting him for a while and he has been there multiple times.
We’re still recruiting Jaden, but Williams logically should be a better opportunity for us because he and Daylyn actually went to the same school together. Their moms are sisters compared to Jaden/daylyn’s fathers being a brotherly connection. We got the father throwing up the u and taking time outta his day to pull-up when mirabal pulls up so i imagine we have both parents on board with the canes game-plan.
