Garrett is not a bad coach. He is an average to above average coach by any measure. Well above .500. In fact he could have gone 0-16 next season and still been above .500.

If it's a name brand team and fans associate it with a handful of star players, then any coach who doesn't win a championship is considered an awful coach. It is neither valid nor unpredictable nor ever going to change.
 
Garrett is Mark Richt. Unfortunately, nice guys finish last in this business. Top guys are usually jerks more often than not.

It was fast and looks knee-jerked but McCarthy did actually win a SB once. Manny's claim to fame so far is got fired from UT.
