GoodThis kid will be compared to Restrepo every step of his Miami tenure. Good luck on your journey.
Who cares

baseballDidnt know Murray played college basketball............
Agree. Using the g league and brony james as an example is hilarious. Makes the argument even easier to just focus on football. Lopez is under 6 feet. He aint making it in the NBALOL ******* G league LOL. This is your argument. G league is a step above AAU. College basketball is more talented than G league
Peppers had 1 good game. Doesnt make you productive
As I said......There hasnt been productive players in both basketball and football
Why do you and @pyhooya care whether he starts off playing 2 sports in college? It is unlikely he will play 2 sports for 4 years. It is more likely he has to give up a sport after his freshman year. But in the meantime, let him enjoy himself and enjoy his college experience. COLLEGE. Not NBA of G League. Just college. That place where 18-22 year olds expand horizons and hopefully leave youth behind and emerge as young adults.Agree. Using the g league and brony james as an example is hilarious. As I said in another post....if he wants to play both the first year or two go for it. He just wont benefit from it. Just dont see a 5'11 180lb guard who is not highly regarded for Bball to miss practice and perfecting his skills at WR helping him down the road. Going to miss 40% of Bball season if he is playing football. Why do you and @pyhooya care whether he starts off playing 2 sports in college? It is unlikely he will play 2 sports for 4 years. Life beats people down every day in some form and limits what we can do. One of the beautiful things about youth and athleticism is it allows people to do things that most others can’t. Lopez has obviosuly worked very hard to get where he is so let him enjoy the spoils of his work.
And what is the harm to him or anyone else if he attempts to play 2 sports in college? The loss of 1 scholarship? Big deal. It’s been years since UM had 15 scholarship basketball players, and football allows 105. So before you write Lopez’s story, ask yourself ‘why not’, which is open to possibilities, instead of asking ‘why’, which is limiting.
It's not going to keep me up at night if the kid plays both. He can do whatever he wantsWhy do you and @pyhooya care whether he starts off playing 2 sports in college? tbh, he likely makes more over his professional career in hoops than football anywaysWhy do you and @pyhooya care whether he starts off playing 2 sports in college? Oh I know that I'm just speaking on ju pep.Never questioned his ability. He is an athlete. Average under 6 points and under 4 rebounds isnt that productive. Lopez and Russel are not even highly regarded as Bball prospects. First year or 2 if they want to play bball then its ok but after that probably need to make a real business decision.
He played 25 & started a few. He was their fifth leading scorer, idk how that is not productive. He played on the final four team the year before too. Peppers would’ve had an all conference his last year; NFL came calling though.LOL ******* G league LOL. This is your argument. G league is a step above AAU. Fifth leading scorer(mostly in mop up duty) is now productive??????? JFC.....the era of participation trophies has ruined sports. I guess you think Bronny was PRODUCTIVE at USC too.He played 25 & started a few. He was their fifth leading scorer, idk how that is not productive. G League is not more talented than college basketball lo![]()
l. Jahlil Okafor won a championship a decade ago and right now he is in the gleague trying to get back into the league. Same goes for Justice Winslow. Johnny Davis was a lottery pick a few years ago and now he is in the gleague averaging 13 points.
Boogie Ellis played on Bronny’s USC team, averaging 16, and then averaged 9 ppg, on worse shooting than Bronny, this past year in the g league. Even our very own Derrick Griffin struggled in the g league compared to college.
The whole point is letting the kid determine his path which he will get a chance to do, as he should because he’s earned it.
I feel like you are changing the definition of productive to suit your argument. So will have to agree to disagree after this.
The games were low scoring and slower back then with more emphasis on half court sets. Tony Gonzalez started for Cal against Antwan Jamison and Vince Carter. Cal had Sean Marks, future nba player and current Nets GM, coming off the bench.
These dual sport guys were contributors. However, the most unimpeachable candidate is Nate Robinson.
