thats bc a school has 48 hours to place him in the portal. it seems like had jumped the gun on the transfer (it seems like hes undecided considering players are disclaiming it and he isnt in the portal yet)

If I was as biased as you are and only think negatively then yes, I would also say why would he start watching film now.

He will be in his 3rd year in the same system and this year has gained legit experience. He will be better next year.

All the portal does is open up access for the kid to be contacted, or "recruited", by other schools. Him not being in it doesn't mean he's not putting feelers out there and contacting people himself (or through a family member or coach).

You'd think WASTING a good 3 games the kid could've gotten w/ mop-up duty while Richt was so worried about trying to desperately run the clock like we had some kinda playoff hope would've been the last straw.

Even with no QB established,...those games were ample time the kid can never have back.

If this is the way the coach and his son handles the position -- maximizing their chance to win games even in low-risk situations with next to no regard for them -- why should a potential QB want to commit here?

I cant really think of a good reason.
 
Guys on WQAM (Donno and Fredo) just said they have heard from two sauces within the program that JW doesn't want to leave but is getting heavy pressure from his dad to hit the road.

Only Miami has parents actively recruit against us.

He needs to stay for his own sake. Just a guess, but I think Richt will feel more heat to actually play the best player this time out, so unless Malik is able to garner a 6th year, then I actually believe, for Darwinian reasons, that Right will be open to whomever ACTUALLY gives him the best chance to win. Maybe...

Pretty sure the school he is leaving has to sign off on the paperwork. It was said yesterday that the Miami had not done that yet.....
 
If your son was a freshmen and didn't get one chance to show his worth after seeing Rosier and Perry play like ****..wouldn't you want him out of there? Especially when the offense is horrible, the QB coach is horrible, and they refuse to make changes? I don't blame the dad. Do whats best for your son. We are not the best choice for any offensive player worth his salt right now. Defense is a whole nother story.

and especially if your son was already told that one of those QBs was in the driver's seat for next season. without even any competition....
 
I think Jarren wants to stay because he KNOWS Perry will **** up and he will honestly get a VERY good shot at winning this QB battle whether on the practice field or by simply not being a knuckle head
