To that point, I think you have to to give that kid confidence even if you really think he may not be the answer.
Perry should have been given the reigns after game 1 after Malik’s meltdown that mimicked the year before. That being said. He was suspended game 1 for whatever off field reason and wasn’t studying the playbook. Richt was between a Rock and a hard place. The positive is Perry seemed to put his head down and work. He gained experience playing and is now the guy without any question. Especially now if Jarren is transferring. Let’s hope he dedicated himself this offseason.

Help me understand this situation... If Richt told Jarren that there's essentially no QB competition, how can he then recruit a QB who would be a virtual lock to start in Fields? What exactly is he telling Jarren to make him want to transfer because I would imagine the best player through spring and fall will start, no?

Yes,...this all signals as to why I went irate in one of our last couple of games when he was bleeding clock early in the 3rd with a lead before taking a timeout. Those of us that "get it" had to idly sit by and watch this ole-school coach not know what to do with new NCAA rules. Extremely shortsighted.

This kind of vision can get you by for years in Georgia with no home competition. Wont fly here.

Richt thinks he can do more than he really can. A competitor that's doing everything to win in his situation knows when to pass the ball.
