Man DJ had some awesome blitz pick ups.
Im not sure enough credit has been given to him.
Without him those big plays wouldn't have happened.

The board will now immediately forget the importance of blitz pick up and blocking (and generally playing the position) while ranting to insert player XYZ because of their star rating or Greentree reports.

The board thinks you can scheme around a porous OL. They also think having a QB who can't move past his first read and is terribly inaccurate is no excuse for an offense not to click. Someone ask Kendall Briles how that's going for him.

DJ was indeed amazing in his pass protection.

And, on his early 42 yard screen pass gain, did you all see 53Jakai Clark? Check out that play. JaKai escorted DJ 40 yards downfield looking for guys to hit. He got a piece of several FSU defenders. Amazing speed and determination by the big man. Bright future for him.

Kid is so unbelievably accurate.

Great things ahead for him. Looking forward to watching him continue to improve.

People tried to write the kid off not too long ago :monkey-serious: .... let QB1 develop, he’s an elite talent. He drops dimes and can make difficult throws in pressure situations like this one in a critical time in the game with a defender jumping at you yet delivering a perfect ball

Kid made some great throws on Saturday, he needs to improve on some decision making, threw some balls that should have been picked. If he can clean that stuff up, he could really be special for us.

Agree with this, he makes some great throws and with experience I hope his pocket presence improves and he begins to trust his arm more and let the ball rip and throw a guy open as oppose to waiting to see him open.
