I agree with you but specifically talking about Tate as an elite athlete, he's in the 98th percentile. That is a weapon that needs a proper marksman.That's debatable. Because I've witnessed A LOT of Miami players whom were highly rated coming out of HS, and turn out to be BUSTS, or just average at the Power 5 level. And I'm mainly thinking of the past eight or nine seasons. Yeah. Coaching has a lot to do with it, along with the system and what not.
And dig this. How do you explain a Baylor team with the VAST MAJORITY of their starter's having " 3-Star rankings " coming out of HS. There's a lot of winning teams out there whom, also, rely on a boat load of 2-Star/3-Star former HS players, too.
