Free Jarren from PAPI(play action penos idiocy).
How many games is gonna take for you to accept Jarren > Kosi
Baker Mayfield first 4 career starts (as a true freshman): 66% completions, 7.46 YPA, 8 TDs, 4 INTs
Tua Tagovailoa first 4 career starts (as a sophomore): 73% completions, 12.9 YPA, 12 TDs, 0 INTs
Jameis Winston first 4 career starts (as a redshirt freshman): 74% completions, 11.51 YPA, 12 TDs, 2 INTs
Deshaun Watson first 4 starts in 2015 (he played a lot in 2014 but kept getting hurt): 69% completions, 7.4 YPA, 9 TDs, 4 INTs.
Jarren Williams first 4 career starts (as a redshirt freshman): 73% completions, 8.9 YPA, 7 TDs, 0 INTs.
The point is, nobody has any **** clue how good or bad Jarren Williams is going to be. I don't know how many games it takes before we stop saying "he's only ____ games in", but it sure as **** ain't 4. If this team has 30 different problems contributing to why it's 2-2, Jarren is probably #28 or #29. Let the kid play for a while before you anoint or destroy him.
**** if Jarren was able to throw for as many Touchdowns as the QBs you listed we would be 4-0.... I wonder how many rushing TDs those QBs had during that span as well? Jarren has 0.
At least Tate wouldn’t take ten Fkn sacks vs flaAt the start of the season many fans (myself included) just wanted the offense and special teams to be average and not work against our "championship calibre" defense. Jarren is playing well enough to win, the offensive line isn't. The defense has taken a small step backward. Coach Enos isn't adapting his preferences to the reality of the guys he is coaching.
Jarren is far from an issue. N'Kosi might throw a better deep ball but he also wasn't all that accurate or careful with the ball. Tate can't hit anything deep. It's not like the offensive line would give any of the three options time anyways.
Where should we be leaning then ?You're leaning that way HUH? ANOTHER TROLL.....
@Hoyacane1620 the truth hurtsJarren won the competition by default bc this system calls for a game manager. If we ran a Briles/Malzahn veer and shoot type offense with Kosi we would be putting up 40. If we ran a Riley Air Raid type offense with Tate we would be exciting to watch plus putting up 40. Miami will not be back until we run a true spread offense. Manny will not make it to year 4 if we don't run the spread by year 3.
This next game will tell us whether Enos will be our OC next year. If he doesn't put more emphasis on the "spread" part in his "spread coast", he's gone.
I believe Manny is the answer but we are in the most talent rich area in Florida and Manny has put together the worst recruiting staff of the Big 3. Say what u want about Willie but he put together a **** of a staff and by far the best recruiting staff of the Big 3.
Short passes, he is a distributor of the football...issue is the supporting cast has been putrid, specifically the O Line.Jarren is averaging 35 pass attempts against P5 schools. He also had 24 attempts against BCU, despite only playing 2 1/2 quarters. That does not seem to me as if he is being used as a game manager.
Imagine comparing the situation fields is in at osu compared to Williams right now lol....(coaching, playcalling and talent around him). I think Our skill talent is there with osu although they might be slightly better at receiver but there is a massive difference in oline and IMO playcalling as well. Enos is an improvement over richt but Ryan day is an elite playcaller and fully utilizes a playbook that fits fields. Up until this point enos hasn’t done enough of that yet.He played on a better team than Fields. Fields didn't have a receiver, a back or a line...**** even the defense was suspect. Jarren was in a football rich community up in Gwinnett co. One thing for sure tho. Jarren isn't having a better first 4/5 games as a cfb starter. Fields just may win the heismen, guess what, as a first time, starter; while JW needs to keep getting experience so we can see if he is the qb of the future.
Emory Jones (uf), Malik Willis (Auburn transfer), Fromm (uga) are the other notable GA qbs from 2017/2018 classes
I can not disagree with any of that. Could it be that Manny brought in the wrong type of OC for this talent base at UM. Could JW and the oLine have benefited from a more modern day system or does Anos just needs more timeImagine comparing the situation fields is in at osu compared to Williams right now lol....(coaching, playcalling and talent around him).
