I love that JW has been named our QB! I was so ****ed that Richt didn't roll with him last year, but by gones are by gones and we move forward!

Assuming Tate doesn't immediately bounce, let's really get him involved! Pull him in as a change up QB. Use him in the wildcat. Use him on QB Waggles when we're in the red zone and especially when we're within 10 yards of the goal line. That would be a very smart use of both guys.

N'Kosi....? I really hoped the light would go on, but at the end of the day, the game at this level is just too complex for him. We have aspirations for a NC and it just wasn't going to happen with him. All respect to #5 for sticking it out and maturing.

Anyhoo, let's sprinkle in Tate at times and beyond that, it's Jarren time!!!

I kind of envision the same. It keeps him engaged, gets him reps and allows for another dimension to keep the defense on their heels.

It also doesn't hurt to have a backup with game reps.

As long as it doesn't kill momentum I'm all good with that. Short yardage packages, goal line, etc.
For sure. If JW is rolling and let's just get this thing in the end zone, then let's not break momentum. But, if our OL is still hemorrhaging and we need to push it into the end zone against a stingy D, then Tate could be a great change up.

I would be cautious using him in this way at the goal line or on crucial downs. Jarren needs to develop leadership skills and get some confidence and familiarity in big game moments.

I 100% believe there is value in having Martell do some things in the Wildcat around mid field and in special situations.

I would not want him coming in just to spice it up in close games, on important snaps near the goal line, or crucial 3rd downs just for the sake of variety. Starters play for a reason. I want Jarren on the field when the game is on the line.

do we need a changup role? I never a fan of 2 qbs rotating. even just for a series here or there. pick a qb stick with it. I am not opposed to a redzone package with martell and williams both but I am not a fan of rotating qbs. even for changeup. I think saints were idiots to take brees off field for the running guy

100% support for Jarren! Tate needs to keep working on his throwing, its a long season ahead. Hope that Jarren balls out the whole season but if not Diaz will make a change for the good of the team.
