Ja'Quan putting in the work

If he doesn't get better he'll be sitting on the bench. He also has some disciplinary issues to get under control. You get the feeling that if he screws up for a third time, he's gone. Anything we get from him will be a bonus.

You realize he was the second leading scorer on the team while shooting 45% from the field right? 3 turnovers per game hurts and his off the court behavior is unacceptable but to say his scoring is a bonus is absurd. His elite scoring and attacking ability will be greatly needed for this team to excel.

On an old Miami (FL) team he's a key player. On this year's version, he's a complimentary player at best. Brown at the 1 and IV at the 2 has Newton on the bench. Not to mention Lykes, who as a senior in high school was a better distributor with better court vision and decision making than Newton.

Lol don't know what your slight is against Ja'Quan but Lonnie will play the 3. There is a 0% chance he will ever be benched as a senior for a freshman with 0 experience playing in the ACC. But your fantasy narrative is fun. Coach L loves Quan and as the only senior on the team, he will be relied upon as a leader which I believe he will flourish in that role.
