Williams whiffs on plays, then talks ****
****es me off when people do that. McCloud did it in 2020 after being dragged for a first down against UNC. Flagg has done it a few times, Stevenson does it. Just shut up and play ball.

It's not his mistakes that's the big issue. It's the lack of sure tackling and poor angles/decisions
I understand that, but that’s the easiest thing to fix. But let’s be honest, he ain’t the only one missing tackles. Whole ***king team is doing it. And don’t say he had the most missed tackles cause that ain’t true at all. Couch and the linebackers miss tackles left and right. Kam misses just as much IMO, but he gets a pass because he has 6 picks on the year. Dude missed so many tackles that turned into TDs and is so easy to bait cause he wants to make ints. They will both improve because they are only sophomores. JW is the least of this team’s problems right now. We can all agree he should not be playing deep safety. He needs to be in the box and using his being a Swiss Army knife. We need to find some linebackers because our safeties are always looking like the first and last line of defense

If he doesn’t want to gain weight and doesn’t want to tackle move his *** to receiver/te. He’s fast for his size and athletic. I’m assuming he can catch

Jams Williams is around the ball on **** near every defensive play.
There’s players in the NFL Hall of Fame that can’t tackle so what.

The real question to ask yourself is are you a 5 star on your job?
Are you 5 star level at anything in life?

If not, let the guy develop. He plays for one the ****tiest fan bases on the globe. Give it a break.
HOFs that can’t tackle? Yea, they’re probably called QBs…. Otherwise they are probably some of the best cover guys of all time. In other words, they were ELITE at one skill or another. They not just putting muhfuccas in the NFL HOF. #0 only elite skill is just being a bigger kid than normal for his position. He needs a position switch or a switch in his mentality. cause what he’s doing now ain’t working.

Second point….
Are you saying that, If we had "better" fans, he would live up to his 5* billing? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: I hope not.

**** y’all straight trashed this dude and he was second on the team in tackles. Y’all a bit harsh.. He was used wrong anyways. He’s great when he is closer to the line and can use his length and athleticism. He had dude playing deep safety too much. Last year he had less tackles but was used better. Let Kam play center field and move James around to make plays. If he improves his stats next year like he did this year he will have 80 tackles which you don’t want your safety getting unless he is in the box a lot. That’s where I need to see this guy. He makes mistakes but even all-pros do. He just needs more discipline and coaching.
What in the world are you talking about?Williams is Miami's "down Safety".
He's the one that moves down into the box versus certain offensive sets. In our Cover-3 stuff Williams goes down and Kinchens moves up top.

Has nothing to do with how he was used. He had the same struggles last year. 😂 And he had the same struggles in high school.

He is who he is.

Bro WTF is this man talking about? 🤣🤦🏻‍♂️

What defensive HOF'er can't tackle other than maybe a CB?

At some point y'all are gonna start believing Macho about these kids, man. 🙄

I told y'all when he was coming out of high school, HE DOESN'T LIKE TO TACKLE.
"You're crazy Macho! He's a 6'5" 230lb 5-star bro!"

I watched Parrish embarrass him countless times on his way to 250 yards rushing during Western's playoff game versus Columbus. He had absolutely no interest in tackling that kid.

He's an "opportunistic tackler" and will only hit people who don't see him coming.

Some guys are very bad tacklers in the open field and they do better in close quarters. That might apply to Williams. Only problem here is, his a$$ doesn't want to play Linebacker. He truly believes he's a Safety. He even purposely prevented himself from gaining weight so that he could stay back there. He must not want an NFL check. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I hope the staff stops catering to his bullsh!t and tells him to play LB or hit the portal. He's not giving us anything at Safety anyway. (plus I heard he ain't the easiest kid to coach)

I think a lot of y'all underestimate the level of BS (from the Manny era) that this new staff has to deal with.
You did. I remember

The fact he even mentioned Williams in the same breath as HOF'ers in the first place is puzzling ...... When speaking of HOF'ers you're speaking of people who actually made it to the NFL ... The way things are going now James will never play a down in the NFL.... He can change that if he wants but the young man really needs to do some soul searching about if he really wants to play pro ball or not...

Deion is the only HOF'er that wouldn't tackle...unless we consider shoe strings and he was actually good at avoiding contact yet making tackles.
Deion got ny99as on the ground. At CB that's all that really matters. Not HOW he "tackled" em.... but IF. Besides, he was **** ELITE at covering muhfuccas. To get to Canton, you HAVE to be the elite of the elite at something. Not just being bigger than other dudes.

He was playing deep safety a lot before the last two games. I don’t want him back there AT ALL lol

That was my point. Deion is one of the few in the HOF that wasn't considered a tackler yet he sure got guys to the ground while being one of the best all time one on one.

You speak the truth. Definitely move him down in the box from time to time, but also saw him multiple times lined up 15 yards deep vs. Pittsburgh. Problem is he's prone to take poor pursuit angles and whiff on tackles no matter where he lines up.

I've been on-board with moving JW0 to SAM since the year started. He isn't a safety and could be an elite SAM that allows Steele to play the base D a ton more than having to move to nickle/star to cover an HBack, TE, or slot. JW0 has done just fine in man coverage with help deep (similar to Ivey). Add 15lbs and he should do a little better in run support although he has to learn to wrap up every time.
