I disagree but do think he’s not playing the position best suited for him.
A lot can change in the 3rd year of college. Hopefully someone comes in who will push him for pt from portal, current roster or Spencer.

Spencer’s going to get a lot of burn next season and be a beast imo

hes playing out of position. UGA Knew it out of HS. we prolly did too but told him whatever he needed to hear to sign w us. also, idk if anyone on the team can really tackle.

I do think that he needs to gain weight and play OLB or something, but nothing we've seen from him suggests a future NFL player IMO.

I dont see how he can fit in to an NFL system. He's too much of an in-between, and doesn't want to tackle.

Inconsistent tackler who plays out of position.

Imo he’s a Swiss army. He can play multiple spots. The DC can needs to focus on his strengths. He can be a great weapon because of Kam‘s great range.

Use his length & athleticism as an underneath defender. He can blitz off the edge or inside. Match him vs big TEs & WRs.

I really hope they focus on his tackling this spring.

He’s just a typical I’m a solid athlete who’s just always made up for stuff by being tall, and having long strides/arms.
But once you start leveling up, the signs start showing up. I called it on him as a freshman and people tore me up saying “he’s a freshman”.
But when you’re constantly getting the angle out run on you, you’re just not fast or quick. Which is normal at 6’5”. It’s why most dudes that height are DEs….the problem is getting the kid to believe a position change is necessary.

We kind of need to accept he will either always hurt us as a safety, space player, or he will transfer.
 
I think he would be phenomenal playing free safety up on the line of scrimmage running safety blitzes or dropping into zone on every play. Sometimes setting the edge too, but definitely from free safety, just walked up to the line of scrimmage, on every play.

Williams would have portaled out by now
Mario needs to keep stacking so we get to that level
Our current safety recruiting is no where close to where it needs to be
