Definition of an underrated Miami baller. I saw him recently against Columbus and was impressed by his physical tools. He was bigger and faster than expected based on the last time I saw him as a sophomore.

This HL doesn't even include his best play. Against the West, his QB underthrew a deep ball that was intercepted. Wiggins snatched the ball back Honey Badger-style and took it to the crib.

Looks like were battling Louisville according to coach..I like DBs who have WR experience....

He is a savage! Our underclass DBs will be insane, it's about to be LIT! Crazy thing about all the DBs we have in this class is that most could potentially play offense in certain scenarios. I'm assuming Burns leaves and Corn stays, who knows, but I like a DB group of:

FS-R Jenkins
-J Wiggins
SS-J Carter
-R Knowles
NB-J Johnson
-C Wright
FCB-Elder
-T Byrd
-D Jackson
BCB-Redwine
-M Jackson
-R Mayes

and whoever else comes. We will add at least 1 more each at CB and S in my opinion. My votes are Jalen Goldwire at CB and Devon Studstill at S.

I would like to see Wiggins and Byrd get some looks between FCB/FS, I think they could really excel at those positions. Wiggins has tremendous speed and range, but more importantly great reaction time and is at full speed very quickly. I think he would break on a ton of balls over the top. Byrd is physical enough for FS and has the frame to add some size without sacrificing speed.

I read on here somewhere where a few posters wanted this kid pushed out! Lol! This is definitely the type of kids in Dade we have to start keeping here no matter what. There should always be room for a "Charles Gaines" or the original "no fanfare Dade balla"... a "Torrie Cox" type player in every class.

Dont load the class full of them. But make room for one or two each year. Last year was Rashad Fenton. A Dade athlete that might not get the fanfare or get invited to All Star games but is a baller. Stars be damned. I really like this kid and hope he sticks.

(And as an add on..the reason why I said to not load your class full of these types is because for every Torrie Cox you are going to get a Doug Wiggins. For every Charles Gaines you are going to get a Terrell Walden. Not all pan out at the next level. But ****, its worth taking a flyer on one or two each year.)

This. You couldn't have said it any better. I've actually always liked Wiggins and I trust D$ on this one as he has seen him in person.

Great post. My exact opinion as well. These are kids that at worst lead your special teams because they want to play hard in front of family and friends.
Wiggins looks good. Look last year...Redwine was one of those guys..look how he performed for us this year. Big time on specials..looking good for next year.

I had my concerns. Played qb at Nmb...and wasn't that fast. His speed always was my concerned.

This. I think buddy ran a 4.8 or something crazy like that. And didnt his coach black ball us or something too for "mistreating" him? lol.

Who would you guys say this years version is besides Wiggins? I say Stephen Newbold from Carol City. I know Geo and PropJoe like him. Cant ever go wrong with kid from Carol City right?

Numbers? Good ball skills. Good balance. Can't really tell his speed or explosiveness from the video.

Don't know, but he looked like a solid 4.45 guy in person. I wanted to see if he was fast enough for corner and he passed the eye test.

That'd make him faster than Corn Elder (though we know Corn makes his $ in the short area quickness aspect). Is what we're working with? If so, awesome. He moved like a Safety to me, but I'm limited to video.
