Now when you factor in actual gameplay and value an edge, lber & DB would all tell you, your defense is reliant on that dt. A DB is entirely dependant on line play as a whole to play at your peak. Just saw what Carter did for UGA and Philly. Without him it would be a whole lot different imo. Special type of talent that makes everyone’s job easier. When they got him in the draft as a giants fan I knew it was a wrap for us for a while. An athletic brute force DT instead of a fat DT…..give me the physical big athletic quick beasts in the middle that are barely blockable. You need one of those in the league and in college if you want to make big runs in the end.

You need more than 1. Teams like UGA stack them. They just signed Elijah Griffin last year. Cant put all your eggs in one basket and think every prospect will pan out.

JJ visited Texas twice the last few weeks and the 1st time he visited them,one of their sites said they felt JJ already had a NIL deal with miami as in they had no shot with him,that's why most fans were so confident,Gerogia seemed to come out of nowhere to get him.
 
Star chasing is for know nothings. Pay attention to DL recruiting especially interior DL recruiting. UGA, Texas, Bama, Michigan, etc. have just as many guys on the DL who ball out who were 3 stars as 5 stars. Be confident in your coaching staff and realize aside from the most elite guys star status is overrated.

I love all the therapists attempting to reassure the fanbase that hasn't played meaningful football games in 20 years that they are overreacting everytime we get bad news.
