Yeah, I agree with that, but there is not much comparison between the two programs. Although I think Penn State has a lower ceiling than programs in the Big Ten, like Michigan or Ohio State, mainly I think because of location, reputation, etc., - in fact, they’re both located in ****** areas, in my opinion. And by ****** areas, I mean hard to get to areas that seem to be less appealing to many recruits, comparatively speaking.

Honestly, how are those undefeated seasons relevant in 2026? It's almost as bad as cats counting natties from when segregation was the law.

I just don’t think VT can be a national powerhouse because of location as has also been mentioned. When they were in the running as a top 10/top 5 type team, it’s because they had a generational talent like Mike Vick at quarterback.

But make no mistake, he’s the best possible scenario for them, and good on them for hiring him. They couldn’t have done any better, and PSU were idiots for letting him go.

If Franklin can recruit the DMV (and we know he can) and the Tidewater area plus get some good coaching and evals for QBs and WRs, VA Tech should be a national powerhouse. I think I read that Franklin has brought in $95 million in donations to their athletic program since he's been there. With that kind of support you have no excuse.

Bro what? So what makes VT have a higher ceiling than Penn State then? Like what even is this argument bringing up Jim Crow?
