It's not about what anyone wants or hopes, it's about reality, and the reality is mario hasn't won the acc despite a massive talent advantage.

I don't doubt that, but I do doubt VT's ability to sustain that level of investment long term. Additionally, they also face another issue, UVA. As a UVA alum, I've said for years that their donor base and fans, by and large, do not care about football. However, that's changed over the past year and a half. They've made massive investments in the program and continue to get huge donations from big donors, and just announced another multi-million dollar donation a few weeks ago.

So now, they've gotta deal with a rival that actually gives a **** about football now, when they haven't for the past few decades. Not to mention the other top ACC schools. Either way, Franklin will raise the bar significantly, just doubt his top end ability.

He has been in talks with them and I agree, someone leaked this for VT because he has been in talks with someone else also and I am not talking about FSU. Talks can be anywhere. Kiffin is supposedly now in talks with UF. Of course I was told that was a done deal weeks ago by people who I think would know and didn't believe it. Franklin is going somewhere. He recruits the DMV well since being the HC in waiting at Maryland. What if Locksley is fired? I could understand having interest in FSU if it opens.
