He made us looked like an overmatched team FCS team, desperate for something to work.

How about you throw a ****ing fade? Again, it's an easy read for a young QB.

That reverse play actually looked like a pass by the way kaaya went upfield, beyond stupid. Why no fade route to tyre Brady or any receiver for that matter

Coley took this "get the ball into the playmakers hands and let them make plays" thing to the 10th degree. I felt like all of his calls were "hope x player makes a miraculous play" .. I mean duke ain't gonna duke into a 9 man box.
 
The red zone series where the 3rd down was the end around crap was maybe the maddest I've ever been as a Canes fan.

Notice how everybody else's offense looks more efficient than ours. Other OC's give their QB easy reads and easy throws, allowing them to dink-and-dunk down the field.

Our offense...

Everything looks difficult.

I've been saying it for years now...."WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RB SCREEN?!?!" Guys like McGahee used to thrive off plays like that....give Duke the ball in some open space and let him do his thing....but no, we throw about one screen pass per season (I remember Duke housing one against Bethune a few years back).

No ****...how many times did we do that WR screen/bubble pass?? Its like he was just waiting for that Coley vs Pitt or VT moment where he breaks one for like 70 yards. Hint...when a team preps for us and we used that dog**** ALL LAST SEASON, they know its coming! Especially with a ******* true freshman QB. Yet thats the only pass they seemed comfortable letting Kaaya throw. Every other time he threw he was getting knocked out within 2-3 seconds. Whatever happened to draws or actual RB screens? Our oline couldnt even block so I guess they assumed they couldnt pull off a RB screen, but the dump ***** run downfield on a 40 yard pass when we could have been right back in it. Why they think Gus could muscle 1-2 yards when theyre stacking the box blows me away. 4 times inside the 10 and we get 13 points. **** me.

Our offense really has a solid flag football feel to it. I don't even know where to begin.

I had issues with Fisch, but he's so far beyond Coley, it's laughable.

Anyone who had issue with Fisch loses credibility to bash other OCs. Fisch was far and away the best OC weve had in a decade, if not longer.

I think Fisch himself would tell you he had certain issues. None really with play design. Mostly with play calling inside the red zone. Pretty much just being too clever.
 
Before the season started I was more concerned with our time of possession and ability to keep the D off the field. Why? Because I don't trust Coley to call a decent game. Like others have said, we make simple things look difficult, and we don't even try things like, I don't know, throw the ball down the field so it takes the other team AWAY from the line, so Duke can be Duke. Worst play calling since Pat Nix. Probably even worse, considering the talent we have on that side of the ball. Kaaya looked like a true freshman, but he wasn't terrible. Take some darn chances down the field. He'll make some mistakes, but he'll learn from them. Take the training wheels off. Off of Coley.

Our O looked like it was afraid to squash a bug because that bug might bite them. Heck with that.

Game ball to the entire D for holding a Petrino O to 336. Had you told me UL would get 336 total yards, I'd have said we were winning that game. Coley took the heart out of the team with that play calling. Everyone felt it. Everyone.

Funny you say that, because that **** reverse flea flicker BS looked like something a pop warner team would do. We have a DC who refuses to just let our athletes play and an OC who gets his play from Richmond Heights

Let's be clear. Coley had poor play calls but they were the SAFE repetitive play calls that he was told to run. Any of you honestly think he formulated his OWN game plan and his on play selection during the game and AL just went "Eh, do whatever you want!" Al Golden is a stubborn control freak. There is a reason Kaaya on to 3 shots of longer than 10yds the whole game. It starts from the top!

Golden needs to get a blank check and bring in a consultant ASAP.. Coleys in over his head and has no one to turn to... There needs to be a full audit run on this offense over the last 14 games... Is chud sitting at home. Any Experienced nfl/ college guy that's sitting at home right now

i remember Fisch getting cute in the redzone, but those offenses scored points in bunches with way less talent than we have now. Fisch turned Jacory into a **** good QB his senior year and Morris had a big junior year under Fisch.
 
Coley was so bad, I was rooting for us to roll the old "Coker T" out of the garage.
