For those with short term memory...

It was a fine day to run the ball, and outside of one spectacular dash through the snow, Miami couldn’t get moving.

Against the 104th-ranked rush defense, the Hurricanes averaged 4.2 yards per carry (30 for 125 yards). Take away Braxton Berrios‘ 60-yard carry, and that drops to a miserable 2.24 yards per carry.

Not to mention the halfback pass as we were driving for the winning TD as shown in the link below (sorry don't know how to embed)

Yep, sure is, all the doom and gloomers saying we were better with Coley who are calling for Richts head. It was not better last year as some seem to have forgotten.

Give Richt a chance to get some players, then judge him.

You don't have to make this post man. Most fans can see that Richt needs time. For the past few years we have struggled against quality teams. This offense is in no way better than Coley. The issue is that our opponents have improved while we remained stagnant and delusional. This isn't a good team. Our best team probably was the 2014 squad the fell below .500. This squad is worse than our 07 team. Richt should take major strides next year because the young guys are getting experience.

Actually it was:

388 ypg vs power 5 teams last year
333 ypg vs power 5 teams this year

5 common opponents so far: 5 times we have had less yards and points as last year

We returned 9 starters

Calling for Richt to get fired is ridiculous bc it isn't going to happen. Calling for Richt to hire an OC is warrented

Va Tech no longer has Frank "I'm in retirement" Beamer at the helm anymore. Just wanted to factor that in there as well.

But yeah, Richt needs to go visit other camps in the offseason to learn more about spread offenses, etc.... or just hire an up and coming OC.

So many "anybody is better than Coley" threads when Richt was hired. Now, "Coley is better than Richt" is the moper mantra of the day.

Petrino looked pedestrian on offense in his 1st 2 seasons back at Louisville. It's also taken Chris Petersen a few years to get his offense rolling at Washington.

Richt deserves time to get back in the saddle calling plays, or to make a staff change. But whatever is decided, the Message Board Mafia will have no impact.

I'm looking forward to seeing what y'all ***** about after he gets this thing rolling. Actually, I'm not.

Richt can bring in "his" players over the next few years who can effectively execute "his" system and that will be great. That said, it doesn't nullify the fact that he didn't adjust "his" play calling to accommodate for the skills, or lack thereof, of the personnel that he has this year. That's on Richt. This team should not have lost all 4 of the past 4 games.
