James Coley as a potential future HC

If he could only figure out how to sustain drives and convert on third down......
 
He actually gameplans/scripts plays pretty well. Strong recruiter. If you're a FIU or FAU, you could very well do worse.


Plus, the sheer number of head coach selfies would bring some lulz.
 
Plus he knows Miami, great recruiter and learned under Fisher and Saban how to run a team. I believe a Coley team would be night and day with a Golden team. Better staff, more excitement, and aggressiveness on both sides of the ball. I feel like he kinda has a leash with Golden at the helm as an OC. Just like the professionals, I agree he would be a good option.

Agree 1000% we are knwn to promote coordinators to HC because we cant compete with alot of other Top programs salaries their coaches have..... I think he would be a great candidate for our job... Hire a Good Defensive Guy yo coach the defense, and we good
 
The only corch even more qualified would have to be Dorito, himself.

That's the ticket.

This is BS. We can compete with top programs. The Administration chooses no to. Big difference.

I think Coley can be a **** good offensive coordinator but Golden is a micromanager who is good at nothing and is killing all facets of the game offense, special teams and defense. The proof is in the pudding!!!
 
Holy **** we have dumb fans. Coley would be the least qualified HC we have ever had by a mile. He makes Shannon's resume look like Mark D'Antonios. Knew there was a reason I blocked the OP.
 
Coach Corley would make a fantastic interim HC. Keep things warm until one Butch Davis makes his triumphant return.

I'd trust narduzzi, lashlee, or smart and nobody else from the coordinator ranks
 
I would take Coley over Golden as HC everyday of the week

He would at least hire a DC with nuts
 
Coley has all of the traits to be a good head coach at the college level. Would he be the right coach for Miami next year? It's a stretch, but it certainly could be something he'd be ready for in a couple years. He is capable of taking over a smaller team right now.

An HC in college is a CEO, someone who gets people excited about the product and hires other people to control the fine aspects of it. From all accounts, the people love him, and hopefully he's learned what happens when you hitch your wagon to a dead horse.
