Jamar Owens was in the same secondary as Jontavius Wyman and Cortez Redding. Canes offered in January but he later committed to Indiana. @DMoney in today's podcast says Miami is working hard on a flip and wants to get him on campus.

He has family in the area and while his father, Daverin, didn’t play at LSU, he was recruited to Ole Miss out of Scottlandville by Ed Oregon and Frank Wilson. Now Deuce is heading back home to play for the Tigers.

“It’s my hometown. I have family there,” Geralds said to On3/Rivals Steve Wiltfong. “I just want to come back home and turn up Baton Rouge and the 225 and I want to be part of that. I’ve been wanting to be part of that since I was a little kid. To be part of it now is a blessing and dream come true.'"
