Would you wait on Zip or go all in for Wyd and let the chips fall where they may?

I'd go in on the latter. He's pretty good in his own right. On top of that, Zip looks like he'll probably go all the way until the end. We're already going to be doing the NSD thing with guys like Bogle and Stevenson, I'd rather have a majority of our class locked up by then.

Crystal Ball to A&M just yesterday. No reason to choose between him and Zipperer right now, they've both said they're going to be taking OVs. I don't think either is committing any time soon. Continue to pursue both as hard as you can and see what happens in the next couple months.

That being said, I think he winds up at A&M and Zipperer goes elsewhere also. Which is fine. A 2nd TE is a luxury in this class, not a necessity. Not with the 2 that just signed in 2018 and Mammarelli next class. Hodges this class with Mammarelli and a 2nd kid next class is just fine.

It's a Top 2. I don't think anyone thinks he's going anywhere else than A&M or Miami right now.

All I'm saying is I could realistically see Georgia or Auburn as an option. Maybe Ohio State. Not the other three.

Fortunately taking Jordan and Mallory we're not in a HUGE need to get another TE, but it sure would be nice to land one of the two.

Stevenson is commiting earlier because he wants to enroll early.

He is legit
I was thinking Bama until they took the Billingsley kid. Him or Zip will do.

Take either one. But I’d prefer Zip just because he from FL and it could influence some other guys we after. Not saying it would but it could. But I don’t think it’s worth waiting just to get burned on NSD.

Take both of they want in, Wydermeyer seems to bring an amazing blocking element which would fit in perfectly at Miami

I would say go all in on Zip he was showing out at the opening and that was while he was dealing with turf toe...plus I want the Lakeland kid just to throw it in Florida’s face

He's a legit 6'5 235lbs dual sport athlete with very good hands & gets into the end zone, plus can block pretty well. Definitely turn up the heat on this kid & try to land him.

Jumbo has a staff full of bag droppers at TAMU with guys like cornball Brewster & Craig, so if we could pull him out of Texas that would be a great W for us.

I like Zip as a prospect, but I hate the idea of having to beg a TE to come to Miami. Miami is the premier program for TE's & we don't have to reach far back in our past, we can show recent immediate success of sending TE's to the 1st round. If a TE can't see that Miami is by far the best place for him, then there's something wrong with that kid.

Look no further than 2 of the top 5 TE's from last year's class in Brevin Jordan & Jordan Mallory, those kids made intelligent decisions & will benefit greatly in their future because of it. For any talented HS TE, Miami should be a no brainer.
