Jake Heaps?

Maybe it goes back to recruiting lemons like Crow and the other tard who's not even on team anymore

I don't care if he sucks or not. With our track record, I see him making an on-field impact similar to Blake Ayles and Tate Forcier

who are our 2 very good young qbs?

He's absolutely terrible!! If Golden takes him it not only shows me that he doesn't know what a good QB is and that the ones we have aren't very good. He played at KU last year and he is awful! I'm talking Kirby Freeman 7-25 type stats awful. FML

if they do take him its because he has alot of experience and the qbs we have dont have any gameday experience. he is not awful and all we need is for him to manage the game.

1-6 aint bad lol. I'm just stating facts not *****ing at all. Its a fact these transfers have all been awful. I'm on board with bringing heaps in because at this point theres a no lose situation. Just like bringing in odonnell renfrow and gilbert were all smart decisions because they cant hurt. Problem lies within recruiting to begin with. Staff has had enough time now to have qbs on the team worth starting. Staff had enough time last yr to not have to bring in those dline guys.

Gilbert, renfrow, and ok st transfer helped us out a ton too.

As did Pat O'Donnell. Oh, oops sorry didn't realize this was a ***** fest.

For example, moore king hamilton have all been here long enough. If they suck which every believes they do then it was poor evaluating or poor coaching. Crow useless, williams a transfer from memphis, and now olsen have all done nothing for us up to this point and olsen is so young obviously but coaches clearly arent comfortable with his development at this point. Dewey and thompson both flamed out. Its just way too many misses over the last few years.

Definitely needed another thread on this. Pretty low risk move. Summer practice hasn't started yet. Hard for Golden or anyone to have a current read on our two freshmen.

Why is it that we talk about how we are excited for the new QB competition we will have in Kaaya and Olsen but then some kid who is presumed terrible comes in and everyone is acting scarred? I mean I'm not trying to say anything but say he does transfer in and win the job, what does that say about our QB situation?

Will roll the dice with Heaps over Crow any day. Please stop blasting Heaps for bad stats at KU. It's one of the worst D1 football programs in the country and most QBs would look awful on that team.

Coaches are allowed to go to summer workouts for something like 10 hours a week to work with players. They can get a pretty good idea of how good their QBs are after a month of workouts.

D$. So yiur saying that one of the fresh QBs would hopefully be starting however if all 3 can't handle it. Enter heaps?

That's the thought process.

If Heaps ends up starting for miami its gong to be a long season

That's why our fan base is where we are now. We think this no talent hack who couldn't win in Kansas can come to Miami and win. Please stop making sense. I sometimes hate the fact that some of people can even sit here and type that this can help us. He doesn't know the system. This guy is terrible.. He's been in 3 colleges in 4 years lets be realistic here.

It's simply the coaching staff wanting a Williams option at QB this year and avoiding turnovers. Nothing flashy, but reliable in Duke's last year.

Not sure i agree, but that is obviously the perspective.

Ive already commented in the recruiting thread but the low program/recruiting/talent evaluation IQ of alot of people on here is astounding. This would be a great pickup and he would likely start week 1. Far and away our best option at QB week 1. People just see well Kansas sucks and he was **** there so why would we want him. Guy has the potential to be a very good 1 year qb for us. Hes never had the weapons we have here and you cant judge him from his performance on 1 of the worst and most disarray programs in D1. Was #1 overall qb recruit who broke every byu fresh record before struggling early soph season and transferring. I get most people here are casual fans and dont get 90% of the decisions that are made in the program so im just trying to educate and give you guys something positive to look for. Hes not coming here to sit the bench so those of u that say well it doesnt hurt he can compete with Crow are wrong. Hes here in his last year of eligibility for 1 reason and its the reason he chose Miami and thats to come in here and start. I think if he does it will turn us from a 7-8 win team to a 8-9 win team that can win the coastal.
