Living in Salt Lake City , The kid could play and has some "moxie" . Don't remember why he transferred. Who say's He's going to start. IMO he would be a good backup incase Olsen got hurt. That way we could RS the freshman.

Bottom line it means Al Golden knows in no uncertain terms the 2014 season is a win now or else fire your best friend who is running the defense you implemented, after which you could be next to go in 2016. I also see that it is Heaps last chance to perform on the field if he wants to make it to the NFL.

If Heaps came to UM he would also benefit from the ability of coaching staff, now being able to work 8hrs /week with players during the summer under New NCAA rule changes. The biggest issue I see is the culture shock differences for his family and himself, but for a year they can tough it out.

Go Canes

D$. So yiur saying that one of the fresh QBs would hopefully be starting however if all 3 can't handle it. Enter heaps?

That's the thought process.

If Olsen, Kaaya & Crow can't cut it....fu_ck it.. give Pete a try at QB let him toss up hail marrys like he did at half time during the syracuse game.

The fact that it's year four and we are still on the waiver wires at key positions is GREATLY disturbing
Smh

I mean a transfer here or there but we are not talking about ballets or proving kids that have left a program because they got in trouble
We are talking about kids who could not catch a break so they head to the U

Didn't this kids say no to us before what makes us special now... Oh cuz you see opportunity this just shows how far we have falling

Most schools don't have great options after a senior QB goes down. We happen to have 2 top 10 freshmen QB's. We are extremely well-stocked at the QB position, and unfortunate that our senior QB got injured. We won't be awful if we have to start one our freshman QB's, but when your senior QB gets hurt, and a 5 star talent is on the waiver wire, you take a look.

Jake heaps is not the answer I'm sorry. You couldn't play at Kansas? The team that coach says his players sucks. I mean c'mon staff.

Heaps is better than anything on our roster right now. I see no reason to not bring him in for a year. You do NOT want a true frosh out there.
Heaps can at least start 4 or 5 games till BK somewhat ready

We have two very good young QBs, that just need time to develop. Not sure bringing in Heaps helps us.

Not sure paw hats going to happen with Olsen...besides being inconsistent I hear most of the team just doesn't seem to like the kid.

This all goes back to 2010. If we had a better backup than Spencer FREAKIN'! Whipple, we wouldn't have had to pull the RS off of Morris...subsequently making Morris a 5th year Sr. this upcoming season.
