Jaiden Francois to the portal

If you want to be real for a minute, the scary part is that Flipcois was another horrible character evaluation by Manure. He fell in love with his physical traits and ignored the diva behavior and lack of heart and grit. You generally don't win with guys like this, but there we were begging him at the end even though he had flipped on us twice already.

I don’t want to turn this into a “let’s take this opportunity to bash Manny some more” fest, but this is exactly one of the things I continue to be extremely concerned about: an apparent deficit in “reading” people and his own team.

It was apparent in the loss to FIU, in reading his team prior to this horrific loss, in the team’s performances during and after bye weeks, and in specific cases like this recruit (assuming he was as heavily involved as Banda).

Granted, even the best recruiters miss. Sometimes they miss on talent, sometimes they miss on character, sometimes they miss on both.

Also, I realize his post season moves have been very good. So my hope is, that his first year was an anomaly, and he markedly improves his “reading” abilities.

No one will be happier than I if he turns the ship around and gets us back to big winning ways.

But I can’t be blind to these types of deficits, which are death to a coach. Hoping for a great season this year (assuming we’re having it) and a much much improved team performance and coaching performance.

If you want to talk about coaching mistakes, then you should have traced it back to getting rid of Frank Solich, who was more accomplished at Nebraska than Pelini.

not wrong, but I think Nebraska expected More and people were starting to realize the option was dying or dead if you wanted to win a national championship

I know we passed on Gray but we need to take Francois....if we can take Walker we can take Francois. Both play positions of need for our team.

Fleming is next. Guessing we'll pass on him though from what I remember during his recruitment....kid was one of my favs from the 2020 cycle and would've tore it up in Lashlee's offense.

don’t we have 5000 Safties on team already?

He needs to stay away from D-I it’s a pressure cooker especially for feelings hurt type players.

D-III with a mentor and counselor would do wonders to push away all the super hero , ME type player. I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t have an adult father only sperm donors and never experienced the word NO before.

Sad to say theses real life things but he falls right into the make up .

SAD for this child has to grow up as he comes of age .

He has no idea of his purpose just wondering around now not knowing WHY. REAL SAD

SHAME ON WHO RAISED HIM

about as well as moving to the acc has gone for Miami I’d say. They were winning under Pelini in the big ten. They won their division and went 37-16 in their first four years, then they fired him because they think they’re better than that. when was the last time we won 37 games in 4 years?

Which is another guy who should've been the headcoach here, but the castration administration still exist. We need goons on the coaching staff, either by personality or by coaching philosophy, in football for sure, nice guys definitely gone finish in the back of the pack. That philosophy doesn't work here, it's one thing to be tuff on the players, it's another thing when a headcoach has to hide behind his title in order to get any type of respect, that won't work here, bo pelini would've fit right in with alot of the players here, the administration, he would've went ballistic on them!

I don't care if he's a kid or a man. I still reserve the right to laugh at him and rub his face in his own diarrhea puddle of stupidity. America's Funniest Home Videos has made zillions of dollars laughing at the bad decisions of kids younger than Flipcois. Do we think we're better than an American treasure, Alfonso Ribiero?

No one is better than Alfonso Ribeiro.

In all those situations they have to deal with the consequences like an adult. They get bad government, potentially killed, sued for breaking a lease, and made fun of by forum members of the team they thought it was funny to make fun of.

People make stupid mistakes, it's expected. Suffering the consequences means they won't do it again.
Your an adult I presume..are you going to tell me you don’t look Back at your 17/18 year old choices and think
We have to stop enabling young men. At 17 mothers are able to sign consent for kids joining the military.
If you commit a crime? Adult.
We always say you can vote at 18 but then kids get a pass for acting like idiots cause they’re 18?
We take the fact that you can vote and fight for your country less serious than a kid making a recruiting mistake when the opposite couldn’t be more true.
Voting is the greatest responsibility you can have and defending the constitution can make you pay the ultimate price. But I’m gonna give Francois a pass cause “hey he’s a kid”?
Now I’m not saying the staff can’t take him if they want. That’s not my call.
But to say hey he’s a kid? Fck all that!! He’s a man!
If your gonna tell me that he was pushed in directions he didn't want by people close to him who had their Interest and not the young man’s interest fine. But defending that sht is just crazy.
I understand what your saying maturity, age, whatever. But he needs to face the consequences and criticism of the mistakes he makes cause he’s a grown man. If the “grown ups” around him can’t treat him and reach him that decisions have consequences then he’ll continue to do stupid sht like posting “my recruitment is 100 open”
No sht idiot.
im guessing this is just your general opinion and not directed towards me because I didn’t defend the kid..I laughed to lol. Yes I understand 18 in America is considered the age to consent to a lot of things (except drinking alcohol or renting a car but u can surely buy cigs which makes 0 sense) therefore most believe that makes them adults. But like u admitted to a 17/18 year olds decision making on a lot of things lacks maturity. In this kids case if u want to laugh because we all saw this scenario coming, **** I’m laughing with u too

so we can blame our move to the acc as the reason for our downfall, instead of terrible AD leadership and decision making then right? That’s my point:dudes aren’t just making baseless assertions, they are making assertions that contradict the evidence. saying Nebraska shouldn’t have left the big 12 is about the same as saying we shouldn’t have left the big East because our results since the move Are similar, if not worse than Nebraska

Uh...no.

But it's also ignorant to equate Miami joining the ACC to Nebraska joining the Big 10.

Miami had just over 10 years of playing a full Big East schedule. When we jumped to the ACC, we joined our biggest natural rival, and we took a couple of Big East teams with us (and more joined later).

When Nebraska left the Big 12, they abandoned multiple teams they had been playing for DECADES, including their biggest rival. They took nobody to the Big 10 with them. It is impossible to overlook how much of Nebraska's football (and other) culture had been tied up in their Big 12 rivalries, and how important those things are when you have very little other culture in that god-forsaken state.

COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from Miami going from an independent to Big East to ACC in a span of 15 years.

Stop comparing apples to oranges.

Nebraska should never have left the Big 12.

I have a hard time remembering anything important about Miami being in the Big East (at least for football). We only won 1 championship in the Big East (and I don't give a **** if we wore the patch in 1991, go back and look at our schedule, we only played a couple of Big East games).
