posted on Wez so just quote here

Dj Jacobs has athletic profile, pedigree, film, production and passes grandma test when you turn on film, blocked kicks, punts.. #1 player and looks like it by any measure, seems like a cant miss prospect.. We thought we had him locked up and fell thru last minute, would like to get him back in class..

I like Jacobs upside and physical traits better. I think they both will end up very good players but Jacobs has the slight edge for me as it stands. Also, I like taking a top player out of the state of GA, I like flipping him from OSU, I like that his brother is also a high level recruit.

Great insights.

For me... they are both ELITE ELITE. We would be blessed to land just one of them.

LOVE DJ Jacobs burst. You can tell that speed is different.

I do love the way Bryant sets the edge.

That HUDL shows him as a run stopping missile. In Heatherman's defense where we are going with slimmer athletic DTs
I like my EDGE rushers to be able to stop the run.

Both play through contact and are violent and both can rush from multiple alignments.

I give the Edge to Jacobs NOW as more of a finished product because of hand placement and pad level which I see Jacobs more advanced in.

However Heatherman is not afraid to coach people up and I think because of this I give Bryant the edge at the college level (no pun intended).

Bryant can rush from nearly any alignment and still stop the run consistently. Technique wise let Heatherman and Taylor get a hold of him and you have another First round EDGE

DJ Jacobs & it's not even close IMO.

His upside is top 5 NFL draft pick caliber athlete.

James Pearce Jr 2.0
Surprised by this. His arm length doesn’t scare you? Hes not a bain with overwhelming power. You think Jacobs is day one ready? I’d assume Bryant would be ready quicker due to size

Dylan Stewart with more bulk at same stage is my comp for DJ. Not as demonic with his first step and pursuit as Dylan but in same space as far as a prospect.

Bryant is an animal in his own right but think DJJ has the higher ceiling. Think first overall pick ceiling versus first round ceiling.

With that being said... I ALSO think Jacobs is a First Round talent and again you can't go wrong with either.

It's a win win imo if you flip either.

Both are game changers.

So it's not a diss on Jacobs who is an ELITE player in his own right.
Bryant sounds like BAIN. Being able to rush from anywhere and still stop the run.
