No he didn't get robbed. Miami has had a great year against a terrible schedule. Miami has 1 good win all year. Miami as a team plays a lot of losing basketball with TOs, poor shooting team and absolutely horrendous on defense. Duke had a better team last year but this year's Duke team plays stifling defense.

Miami’s 17 win improvement from last season marks the largest turnaround in Division I this year.

Jai Lucas is the second-fastest first time head coach in ACC history to reach 20 wins (Bill Guthridge).

Miami’s 24 regular season wins tied the school record for most in a regular season.
But you are right, he didnt get robbed...

duke is a VERY good team, nobody is disputing that. However, taking a NON basketball school with ZERO players from last years team and winning and finishing #3 in the ACC is WAY more significant than a team that has had the #1 or #2 recruiting class since atleast 2022 and MULTIPLE 5* recruits EVERY year. Jon is a great coach, but I dont see how anyone things he should have won the COTY over Jai

The Hurricanes are shooting 50.6% from the floor, which tops the ACC and is 10th nationally.
Poor shooting?

get a grip and take a breath. Everything I already posted is true. stop thinking in wins and losses differential as the only measure. Duke has been dominate this year playing an incredible schedule. Jai didn't get robbed of anything

This is very simple. You can have your opinion and I can have mine. Dont need to "get a grip and take a breath". I am perfectly relaxed. I personally feel that creating a team from complete scratch (0 returning players) in the 11th hour after being hired and winning and being the #3 team in the conference is better than taking a loaded roster that has been built over the years and winning big.

Again, nobody is taking anything away from duke. They are a VERY very good team. Both teams won against the teams on their respective schedules. Jai nor the Miami players had anything to do with who they had to play.

Also, not everything you said is true.

The Hurricanes are shooting 50.6% from the floor, which tops the ACC and is 10th nationally.

when I referenced shooting it completely implied about shooting 3s which this team can't. I am very happy with the progression of the program but the schedule was trash and Miami had 1 win worth mentioning until yesterda. Jai and the AD had plenty to do with the non con schedule. Duke plays everybody in the non con every year and they also replaced basically their entire team as well. So yes everything I said is true especially that Jai wasn't robbed of anything

Shooting 3's I agree with. The schedules are made in advance like football are they not? If they arent, then yes, I agree that they picked a easy schedule. Maybe on purpose, idk. Im genuinely asking

I am surprised no one brought up that Duke had to do all of this without Jai Lucas, the core to their success.

It was a good season. Great turn around. Let's get a tourney win.
