Jai Lucas was on the Field Of 68 show yesterday, and they questioned him about his playing style at Miami since he's a younger coach and the media isn't sure what to expect from him on the defensive side.

At the age of 36, he’s all about the belief that "defense wins championships," and he stands by that idea.

I love it. There is always a battle in basketball as to whether defending or shot making is most important. We saw Duke. St Johns and Houston focus on defending. We saw Auburn and Bama focus more on scoring. UF was pretty good at both, which you have to be to win it all.

But i do think the way to start is to defend first, which includes rebounding. So I like that UM hired what was effectively a very successful D-coordinator.
