Jags fire Marrone....

Marrone could have had success in Jacksonville...but the failure to land a better than bottom 10 starting NFL QB did him in. They had a nice roster a few years ago and just couldn't get over the hump. Small window and they just about got there, but no dice.

He's not a bad coach...he's just...aight.

The Jags job should be pretty attractive. Lawrence + another first rounder (Rams) + 2 2nd rounders + a 3rd + $100 million in cap space. Could be a quick rebuild.

If they make the right decisions, they could be in the playoffs next year.

They were also missing their last three first round picks most of the year...Josh Allen, CJ Henderson, KLavon Chaisson and on top of it, barely had DJ Chark available.

On offense, Lawrence, James Robinson, DJ Chark, Laviska Shenault is a nice group to get started. With all that draft capital and salary cap, they could turn it around quickly like the Dolphins did this year.

Urban is more than just a recruiter. He's had success at every stop, even before the talent advantages. The real question is can his scheme work in the pros and can he control the attitudes or will the team just become the bengals under marvin lewis.

don't forget fournette from 2017 draft.

#1) Marrone would never come to Miami. I said it half jokingly.
#2) Only a delusional Porster would turn down a guy with his charisma, NFL head coaching experience, NFL OL coaching experience for UMs current OL coach. Gimme a break. That’s like comparing a Steak at prime 112 to Outback.
I don't know man...have you tried Outback's new Peppercorn Short Rib? It's a tender, slow-roasted, fall-off-the-bone short rib served over their creamy homestyle mashed potatoes and topped with peppercorn sauce. It's available for a limited time only!

Oh and don't forget to satisfy your lunch cravings with their lunch combos!

Jags need a QB, a OG, 2 safeties, a DT, and a CB. It could be a VERY quick rebuild if they hit on 3-4 of the 1st 5 picks.

If Kingsbury can be successful in the NFL, there is no reason Meyer can’t be successful in the NFL, especially with a QB like Lawrence.

Urban supposedly wants 12M per year to come out of retirement. That's pocket change to these guys. If it's not Jacksonville, it'll be someone.

Kliff Kingsbury is a successful NFL coach? He managed to blow this season, and was a pure disaster last year. He's a coach that will FIRMLY be on the hot seat next year, and that's despite having a **** solid QB in Murray.

There are only 3 HCs that won both a national championship and a Super Bowl, two of them did it with the same roster(Jimmy, who built it, and Barry who was able to get 1 SB by merely being on the field). Most college coaches have not only failed, they've failed miserably. There's a reason why people like Jim Mandich wanted to beat the **** out of Saban, he was a miserable douchebag and people got tired of his crap. We all know how Bobby Petrino failed. We know how Spurrier was a massive disappointment. Bud Wilkinson, one of the most dominant coaches of all time was garbage at the pro level. How many top end coaches have gone to the NFL and were flat out destroyed once huge talent advantages dissipated?

Jerry Glanville said it perfectly "The NFL is where you learn whether a coach is a good COACH or just a good COLLEGE COACH".

He's a bum and was quickly replaced by an undrafted free agent from Illinois State. Tells you all you need to know. He's a dented can.
point being the list was how they were effected by not having the most recent first rounders. I would count being a bum as still being a effected by missing first rounder lol.

Hearing Meyer wants huge contract and would bring Tom Herman and others from OSU with him.
