Regardless of that signing day cry fest, he still de-committed from us twice. He had a couple chances to come here regardless of what happened on that call, and he fcked around with it.

Well, we are not as strong depth wise at Corner and i’m not sure what the rules are, but if he blames the Covid and gets a waiver it’s something worth talking about.

However, recruits like this always scare me. Kids that break commitment like he did, twice, scare me. I have no clue if he’s a good kid or not. I have no clue if he is a locker room distraction or anything like that.

I just remember watching his announcement and feeling awful for the kid. He looked like he wanted to come to Miami and his family looked like they were pressuring the kid. Again, i have no idea about him or his family. I’m sure some of you may. But i’m not in the camp that says F him. He’s 18, he went to cow country. And if he did that because of money for his family or was pushed I would feel for him. Diaz doesn’t seem like the type to allow this program to be disrespected. I guess we will see. My guess is he plays for Butch.

He got replaced with a better player. Way too many posts about a player our coaching will not consider. It’s done. Hope he does great wherever!

The day after we won the Rose Bowl, I was with some friends at Universal CityWalk and we were decked out in all of our Canes gear. A family of Cornhuskers walked by us, saw that we were Hurricanes, and the kid literally got down in front of us and started bowing in a Wayne's World "We're Not Worthy"-style moment.
