2027 Jaden Carey 4* CB from STA

With Wright on board t will be interesting to see if the staff likes Carey or Nash Johnson better (didn't Jefferson visit Nash Johnson soon after the hire?) …They obviously will make room for Osborne if can pull that off. But have also read they like Valarde as a corner (In a battle with UF, but UM seems to want Valade).
 






They talk about Miami commit Demarcus DeRoche and Miami legacy target Jaden Carey in the second video. Carey and Osani Gayles were the only two invites to The Opening at the time; event MVP Amare Patterson just got his invite a few weeks ago.

Speaking on Carey, Andrew Ivins says, “I don’t think he lost a rep. He was excellent on 1on1s, had a pick in 7on7 play—he’s the real deal.”

Much like 7on7 teams, The Opening is a big recruiting event and players are the best recruiters as Cristobal likes to say. Went on a hiatus since COVID so the first time in 6 years the event is being held.

A lot of class of 28 guys are getting invited so glad Izzy, Donte, and Ty Keys will be there as we’d get an advantage whenever they visit down the line .. Plenty of Miami targets ofc. Both of the USC WRs Miami are targeting have invites, MJC, etc.
