Or basically you saying you disagree with DMoney, that UM is recruiting him but doesn't want to pull the trigger with the offer?

To keep it real, out of the STA 5, we only prioritized 3/5.. Matthews, Gamble, and Jones. I wouldn’t really even count Jones imo because everyone on this board knew he was a heavy ND lean unless they just wouldn’t want him. Carey would be a solid option, great option in previous years but we have a top 100 kid as a backup plan to Hypolite right now. Recruiting is at a different level

Ive never been on the other side of the communications so i have no idea how it feels or what the recruit can tell by the communication. I have always maintained that if we bring a kid on a summer OV, their scholarship offer is real. We’ve seen a lot of kids have summer OVs scheduled and they’ve committed elsewhere or taken us off their schedule. That never happened with Carey.

All that being said, I have no idea what his NIL package would be at Miami versus Ohio State or Auburn. And I have no idea what level of communication Harris/Terry/Hetherman/Mario have had him with him compared to Durkin/DVD/Golesh or Day/Walton/Patricia.

Just waiting and seeing for the time being. If we really want him, i highly doubt we’ll lose him.

Y I mean I think it's clear if Carey doesn't end up at Miami then either he didn't want to or Miami didn't want him to, plain and simple.

But I do digress that we could be giving some kids only small NIL package offers… Which in today's age a kid could view as a slight and is a legit decision factor. Maybe @DMoney can weigh in further…Is the holdup on this kid rom JC's side or UM's?

Cmon bruh. Outside of a couple gated communities for foreigners like Lyford Cay and tourists at Atlantis or whatever, this young fellow looks like a younger DMoney. And he wants to be a Corner. This isnt Iowa. Anyway, he is go to Ohio State with scumbag Earl Little Jr. Hope the kid sucks at football and busts.
