I think poyser and Fitzgerald will be a solid starting group...they are gna have to upgrade the OL in atleast 3 spots depending what Markel Bell does. Gna need a QB, probably a WR1 alongside Toney, TE, probably a starting caliber DLineman depending on how the young guys develop.

Why is there a need for the portal for OL? We have guys thst have been developing for 3 years. It's their time to shine. To need to go to the portal for OL would be an indictment on the coaching and development by Mario and Mirabal.

We have a lot of in-house talent. We should he less reliant on the portal each yesr and OL should never be a need more than maybe 1 player.

That was Dabo’s thinking process. Times have changed. You bring in talent whenever you can get it and afford it.

Is Bell returning? If not we lose 4 of 5 OL and only bring back the LG spot... id say they definitely need to portal for OL. What young OL have stepped up to make u feel confident that losing 4 starters wont effect the standard weve shown at that spot...

Yeah, that kid plays the game the right way. I wish we could could get a few of these guys back for another year.

Regarding OL, generally I agree with you. The reality is that we have several projects on this team - I don’t believe they are ready yet. You can argue that OL recruiting has been average here. For every cooper hit, there are projects like plazz, et al that haven’t panned out yet.

I’d love to see a rotation next year of McCoy, Samson, RRod, Cantwell. I don’t know that Kinsler is ready. We’ll need 1-2 portal OL imo

I’m saying that you always take the best available talent that fits your program goals, winning being the top of the list.

Had a good game. Some good blitzes off the age. Laid a pretty big hit. I definitely came for that discussion. It has been so long since he has played I was wondering who 25 was for a minute.

What have you seen from any reserve OL that makes you feel like they are ready to start and hold up the standard miamis built on the OL.... we literally play 6 guys... bell, Okulola/mccoy, brockermeyer, cooper and Mauigoa.... IF Bell comes back id feel a lot better. With Bell, McCoy, Okunlola and hopefully Cantwell is a guy who's a day 1 starter but I think getting a proven OL transfer to complete the group isnt a bad idea
 
Haven’t seen anything. I won’t even give you Cantwell. Gotta believe we have the ability to develop and recruit wisely. But the fact Rodriguez can’t play at center hurts my argument.

We don’t know of guys like Kinsler and Mahoney are drafts or yet. Rodriguez is marginal. I trust Mario to decide where to spend the NIL budget he has.
