Jacurri Brown - Hendon Hooker

JAYSUS CHRISTO! Jacurri has an impressive/solid game (albeit against a sh*tty team w/o a coach) and people are starting to compare him to Hendon Hooker, Josh Allen, Cam Newton etc. You all have got to stop the madness. You all are ready to anoint/elevate him, while throwing the rest of the roster QBs in the trash can. This is par for the course for CIS. Build him up on a pedestal, declare him the next great UM QB, then soon as he has a bad game or two majority of the people on this site will turn on him quickly and bring out the pitchforks. CIS posters love to build up a talent only to bring them down just as fast. It's sickening.

totally disagree. WE need tvd back so that we at least can develop guys and have depth. We are one player not coming here (emory williams) and your scenario of TVD not coming back from having Matocha as the next guy up. So lets get tVD back, develop brown and get someone else after emory too. Just my opinion.

Nothing against TVD it’s just when I saw him do that throw I even felt it .
I don’t think (2) weeks is enough to heal to make the throws needed.
You have good points though, but that pass just gave chills.

Yup...Rough start noted. But he adjusted and was coming around. Look good vs. UNC, looked good outside of red zone and thru penalties at VT. Nice drive vs. Duke despite the blindside fumble

I think we need TVD to be an above average quarterback and it's his team.

the staff adjusted lol. they changed the offense for him to fit his strengths.
 
I said pregame he would get 180 yards passing and 150 rushing. I was off by 50 yards in both. I also said we would irrationally start hyping him up. Mario has to hire OC that is proven with this type of QB. When Gattis said he might be the fastest on the offense i was skeptical but its actually not crazy. That one scramble where he went around the right side. He is fast and big. But his biggest attribute imo his is maturity. He is calm out there, notice we didnt have any delay of game penalties.

At Clemson will be much tougher no doubt but his ceiling is high but the OC hire has to be nailed. Tom Herman or Mullen imo are the 2 i want one of. And we have to give him time to develop his mechanics and just getting more experience.

Jacurri is still very raw and doesn’t decide when to run quick enough at times. As the game slows down for him I think that he will be able to rip off some big runs like he did in high school. He doesn’t seem too shifty to me, but once he gets to full gear, he’s fast for being such a big (PAUSE) dude.

If he can focus on the aforementioned and Mario doesn’t ruin him, he has high upside. But 136 yds. passing, or whatever it was that he ended up with isn’t going to cut it against most good teams.

Dont forget that 22 of those yds were a meatball to a wide open Mallory. Kid looks the part and physically stands out when running the ball but he is so far far away from what he needs to be and no guarantee he gets there. Good news is that he has time. I also said this during the game discussion, I think he actually fits in alright into Gattis' offense.

C'mon Cribby we get JB a dynamic OC, a whole new O line, some portal WR's, a QB coach an him having X work ethic and we got a 6'4 or 6'5 Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, Herdon Hooker next year but better! It's just that easy signed- CIS😂😂😂

Oh ya TVD can go, Jake can go, and we don't need that 11m gata gold digger either💚🧡💚🧡 gotta love it
 
Hooker and Young wish they were as fast as JB. But JB still has to throw as good as those 2.
But imo it’s easier to throw as good as those two than to be as athletic as JB.
