Jacurri Brown - Hendon Hooker

Hooker is 25 years old. Only because of Covid has had this many years to develop. Brown needs to develop quicker. Not a good comparison imo.

Would it be fair to say this is a more recent comparison and sign of what Jacurri can become with continued work? Hopefully quicker than 4 years though!

Or is Jacurri’s potential higher?

Hooker looks good in the right system and his accuracy definitely increased. When he played at Va Tech against us earlier in his career he couldn’t pass at all!
Pickin' up what your puttin' down OP. Lot of interesting comments/questions in this thread worthy of discussion. Easy to take a jab at the one or two 'prisoner of the moment' posts.

Much higher. I see cam Newton 2.0 or Josh Allen just not the same top end arm talent because Allen’s arm is once in a generation. Brown needs another year at least to develop. Get him with a legit throwing coach this off season

*Contingent upon the fact he gets the proper coaching and is in the right scheme. But that’s his ceiling IMO.

I actually think both TVD and Jacurri will benenfit from he same spread system, but for different reasons.
Spread works for TVD because he can make any throw needed and having the field spread as we had last season gave him quick reads
Spread works for Jacurri because he need more defenders out of the box so that he can run when needed.
Agreed - but how are we certain we are going to move to a spread? I hope Mario brings in someone that utilizes spread concepts in their base set, but I’m also not discounting that Mario brings in someone who runs a similar offense but with better play calling chops?

I think Mario already knows what he wants to do - and I don’t think he‘s going to rethink that stance just to keep a kid here for one more year.

I maybe hoping against hope that Mario is more disgusted by our offense this year than any of us.
Keep hope alive!

Dude needs to drop out of classes and practice all day. We fooked if he starts next year.

I keep seeing that deep pass to young. Horrendous

I had a post ready saying the same thing lol, I just deleted it
You already know, the cis brain trust will say he’s cheeks and has no business being a qb and should switch to wr or te.

This season is all about getting him some reps and letting TVD heal up. Garcia doesn’t seem there mentally so let a new oc and offensive staff come in and coach them up in the offseason.

I don't know why Miami only hire coaches who are intent on making things as difficult on themselves as possible.

Football has evolved. The kids in our recruiting base have evolved with it.

Offensively, Miami should spread teams out as much as possible and put the most dynamic and punishing athlete you can find at QB.

Mario should find an OC who does this, and task them with two things: Score as many points as possible regardless of how you have to do it, and engineer the transition between TVD (assuming he stays) and Jacurri Brown. That's it.

Rest assured he will not.

Jacurri is the fastest guy on the team! Fckn scheme and design plays to his strength!
