Jacurri Brown Be Like....

I'm very happy we won the game. I hope we win the next one too. I also hope we aren't 1 dimensional and lose because Clemson forces us to beat them through the air.

Look bud, we all know we will have some trouble throwing the ball..but did you see what happened when Brown showed his threat on the ground?

The second level had to stay back and read longer, opening up holes for Knighton. Unfortunately, Clemson will have the best d-line we've seen all year and it just doesn't bode well for us, regardless it doesn't make it any better by sitting around and talking about how badly we could possibly play

I think the reality is that we all know what to expect, but it feels better thinking we still have a chance to give em ****.

14/19 with most of the completions being within 5 yards of the LOS. You can't be serious. He absolutely needs to improve as a passer.
He needs to improve on his deep ball accuracy for sure. Still ... those bubble screens were well executed and effective. He is getting rid of the
ball with decent, accurate throws. He does have a canon arm, if his accuracy can be coached up, he will be a legit nightmare for DC's to game plan for.

All that can be corrected....he's only a frosh...

I’m not gonna pencil him in as a future elite passer but some of you who are hopeless that he can become a better passer should rewatch LSU vs FSU and see how bad Jayden Daniels looked in the first half of that game compared to now.

That guy's been a P5 starting QB for 3 and a half years now. If it takes Jacurri 3 full years to be accurate, we are screwed.

Go Jacurri and develop young man. I just wish it was in the offseason or at the end of blowouts because there is no vertical threat with the offense now (not that there was much of one before).

Btw, obviously TVD is injured, but what's up with Garcia? Just not in the plans any longer?

Yep. Really strange scenario from the outside looking in. Although, it was apparent in the UVA game that they have absolutely no confidence in his ability to throw the ball, just like with Jacurri. The difference is Jacurri at least has the talent for running the ball so it seems like Jacurri's getting the ball unless TVD gets healthy.

Just amazing how the QB position went from such a position of strength to likely having TVD leave for a different system and Garcia leave due to not getting an opportunity. Looks like it will be Jacurri and who knows in the QB room next year.

I haven’t followed him closely enough to remember where he was at 3 years ago but did you see the first half of the game vs fsu? He looked like malik rosier just with a more prototypical physique. Clearly Kelly and staff tapped into some potential that orgeron’s staff didn’t. Give Jacurri more time and reps.. and obviously a system other than Gattis’

As for Garcia, I have a good friend who speaks with a few players regularly, multiple guys have said that he’s way too slow of a processor to play at a high level. Apparently has been throwing picks at a crazy rate in practice since he got there and his habit of staring down his target, not going through progressions and refusing to ever check down just makes him an incredibly easy qb to adjust to, can’t even imagine how bad it could get once teams are preparing with film.

He was at ASU as a starter for 3 years. He wasn't coached under Orgeron.

He's been pretty decent all along at ASU which is why LSU was more than happy to bring him in. Yes, horrible first half against FSU, but first game on a new team, new system, etc.

I am hopeful that Jacurri can develop as a passer. The kid definitely has the heart you want in a leader and is physically talented. However, until his passing game comes around, the Canes will not be able to compete against any quality team. Believe me, I'm all in on Jacurri taking the next step - especially since it appears TVD and Garcia will be running out of Dodge as soon as the last game is played.

Yeah, that was really apparent against UVA. Constantly locked onto one receiver and consistently throwing late.
