Whole bunch of reasons. It sets a precedence that players can go with the coach I imagine. Remember he basically went to the Championship with Richt's players mostly. Plus why would he want to help the coach he just replaced? Coincidentally, there was a DB that Saban blocked from going to UGA after Kirby got hired and he ended up being able to go to UGA with Kirby... Imagine that.

Yeah. I’d wager Burrows could have connected on a few those open receivers Rosier overthrew again and again. He also could apparently read a defense and audible to a better play. At the least he would have not been a liability at the most important position in football.
