I know this a moot point but does anyone legitimately know if there was any interest by either side in Jacob Eason transferring to Miami? Maybe Kirby Smart blocked that option? Just curious.

the thread is somewhere deep on the boards, but yeah i remember it being said that kirby blocked it
 
It wouldn't matter anyway. Tom Brady could have 1 year of eligibility left and Rick would still start Malweak.
 
Okay, thanks. Was curious if Richt showed any interest re-recruiting a nationally highly rated QB he successfully recruited out of high school.

If Kirby blocked it, oh well.

That's correct Kirby did block him but then a couple months after the NCAA changed the rules so coaches can't block players anymore. He would have to sit a year but realistically speaking, he home now and I doubt he would want to leave.

Lol even if Ritch had Tom Brady all he would do with him is throw deep down the sideline and run him straight into the middle .
 
Richt would have lost Jarren if Eason came here and he would have had to sit out this year then compete with Perry and Weldon next year. So no he wouldn’t have saved us from the nightmare yesterday if that’s where you are getting at.

****, he was just average last night, but I wonder if we ever contacted Joe Burrow. Even his average *** would've been better than Rosier.

No, I was just wondering if Richt was exploring all resources at QB. I’m aware Eason would have had to sit out 2018. Eason was a better prospect that Jarren out of high school. Maybe Jacob instead of Jarren would have been good.

Doesn’t matter really....was just curious.

Burrow has football smarts. He called an audible on that 50 yard TD run. Even his poor passes were not in danger of being intercepted.

Had Eason just followed Richt from the beginning, instead of staying with UGA, he’d be the starter right now.
 
He chose the school man of his word he says… Funny thing is after he got hurt he got no love…

Eason might not even start next year. Their 2 freshman QBs are suppose to really good. He might be 3rd string next year
 
Any chance we can get Jalen Hurt here since Saban BSed him into thinking he had a chance to start.
