Jacob Eason Transfer

He has not announced a transfer so speculating about him coming here isn't worth anyone's time. If he did transfer, I'd be giddy to add him to the depth chart. It would completely eliminate the need to Sheriff or Weldon.

You knuckle heads keep talking about Richt's vision or what kind of offense Richt is building...y'all don't know ****. How many dual-threat QB's did he run at UGA? DJ Shockley. That is it. One. And he didn't hand Shockley the offense until his Senior year when he was mature enough to use his eyes and his head first, and his feet last. We got the guys we got because those were the guys that were available. You can talk **** all you want about hand picking Kosi, but he tried his **** best to get Jacob Eason to come to Miami, and he did his **** best to give Jack Allison every opportunity, and he did his **** best to give an unknown from NJ with good pocket passer measurables a shot at Miami.

LOL...if you're suggesting that N'kosi won't get burn because He wasn't hand picked by Richt, you're wrong. David Greene wasn't Richt's hand picked guy either, and all He did was smash SEC passing records and became the All-Time winningest QB in NCAA history...LOL.

Also, Perry isn't a run first (AKA Dual Threat) QB, He's a pass first QB who occasionally uses His feet to buy time.

Lastly, Sitkowski was garbage, that kid had no "pocket measurables", He had lousy numbers in Joizee, and couldn't even start at IMG.

"Pocket measurables"...dafuq does that even mean???...LMAO!

Well, it is true that Richt has been wildly successful with all kinds of different QBs in his career. So, the idea that he is dead set on having one particular type of QB is kind of silly. He has proven that he can win with all sorts of QBs.

Having said that, whenever he talks about his favorite type of QB out of all the successful guys he has coached the name "Charlie Ward" always seems to come up at the top of his list. So take that for what it's worth.

Yeah that's pretty much where I was going. His primary concern is an accurate passer who's intelligent enough to execute the offense. Mobility is a bonus. A welcome, but unnecessary bonus.

id take him as another guy to compete but I imagine hes guna be looking for promises to be the starter wherever he goes next so I don't see him coming here

Since I live in Georgia I saw several UGA games with Eason at the helm. Although he does have a strong arm in general he didn't impress me to be very durable. He has a slightly slim frame which leaves him suspect to how much pounding he can take over the course of the season.

If he does transfer out I would suspect he goes back home to the Pacific NW. Might be a great pick up for Mike Leach.

Eason will be drafted super high ( 1st round ) but I want nothing to do with him here as we have 2 great young QBs and a senior coming back. Also we have Weldon who I think is just as talented as Rosier . So we have 2 starter level talents ( Williams and Perry) and 2 back ups who are really good for back ups ( Rosier and Weldon) .

The two players on this board that everyone gets on their knees for, Jacob Eason & Trevon Grimes.

Neither one of them have any interest in us & neither one of them would actually be able to play next year.

But according to the board, these guys are Tom Brady & Randy Moss lol

LOL...the infatuation with these pocket passers is mind blowing.

The 3 QBs that transferred from Bama aren't getting any burn...Ricky Town is still looking for a program to play at....Allison transferred...but yet these Pocket Passer Lovers think we should roll the dice on Eason...mindblowing...LOL.

He isnt coming - we arent running a Pro Offense any time soon --- too many other schools where he can go - my bet, he goes back west from where he is from

Let me get this straight. Eason isn't the "type" of QB that Rick likes. But Rick recruited the fck out of him for 2 years and convinced him to sign at UGA. Makes sense.

Personally, I don't give a **** about Eason because he's never going to come here to battle an incumbent starter (Perry, Weldon or Williams) for the job in 2019. He'll go somewhere where he'll be sure he can start.

If he's smart he'll take the Stidham route. Sit out 2018, and go somewhere in 2019 where they guarantee him the starting job. That way he doesn't have to commit to a school and stand around at that school in 2018 while a QB already on the roster might wind up taking a stranglehold on the position. Then, he's fcked again and out of options.

Except for that UVA grad xsfer QB at UGA. Horrible pickup!

So you believe that he's going to be a first round pick, but you want nothing to do with him? Cause we have two guys that have never played a down that are potential starters, and our prior starter as a backup? Not sure I follow your logic.

I’ll give you Sheriff. Don’t sleep on Weldon.

I get on my knees for nobody. I actually agree that Eason is not coming because it's not in his interest to come. I'm not one of these fools who, because he's not coming, sit here and talk about how big a piece of **** he is, like he ain't a top talent that we all know **** well would be an instant upgrade over what we got on staff right now. The gum bumpers on here talking about how Eason ain't the type of QB to fit Richt's system when they don't know **** about Richt's system...They've seen two incompetent QB's fail miserably at running Richt's offense and that makes them an authority to speak on the type of QB we need and also that Richt's a dumbass that needs to hire an OC because his offense is ****.

Never mind that there is **** near 25 years of evidence of the type of QB that Richt likes, any that can read a playbook and a defense, and what his offense looks like. It's as if they can't see how much they contradict themselves.

Wrong on both accounts. Both have expressed interest.

My thoughts exactly. He would have to sit out a year anyway. So my guess is he transfers to Washington and takes over after Brownings senior season.

Boom! Called it.

Does Washington have legal recreational weed? That is likely to be a big factor in where Eason decides to go.
