Jacob and wingo

Dawson doesn’t control who goes in. He said this last year. The WR rotation is controlled by KB
How do you call a well flowing game plan when you don’t know your personnel?

Was the RB coach the genius that ran our smallest RB into the line from our own endzone for a safety?

Seems like we still make things more difficult at times than they need to be. Only team on our schedule that can beat us is us.

Dawson said he allows his position coaches to control that but if he has a certain personel he wants or want to call something he lets them know prior to drive or in certain situations..

They put the backups in on goalline, I think they should of gotten starters to get first down and then pull them to put young guys in good position but yea.

Asking a WR to come to a full stop and reach behind themselves to make a grab is tough, especially in traffic. Yes, he could have caught it, but it’s a very low percentage
Most NFL receivers make that catch, and thats the level of talent we want to be at.

Coop got disciplined for a quarter i think creating an opportunity for wingo, still think he had some key plays too. I wish we moved guys around more like 2024
DID HE TECHNICALLY DROP TWO POTENTIAL TDS IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY...❓

We were up 52-14 when Pitt got that safety. And honestly if Ryan Rodriguez didn’t completely miss his block Pringle probably gets out the endzone. Stunts are still giving this oline issues.

To be fair never happens if Mensah hits Briggs like he's supposed to. Move the sticks it's 4th down we're up 17 no need to go hero ball.
This is the dumbest sentiment there were two guys open. Briggs was wide open underneath and Upshaw was open but dropped it.

There’s no guarantee Briggs wouldn’t have done the exact same thing.

It’s not like Mensah made a terrible decision and threw it into triple coverage.

IT HIT UPSHAW IN BOTH HANDS. It’s a drop all day long and the blame is solely on Upshaw. He would tell you the same thing.

I have probably been the most vociferous critic of Mensah on the entire board as it pertains to not taking easier, quicker completions. The drop is entirely, 100%, and without any qualification ON UPSHAW. It was the right play, well executed, the right decision, the right pass, and Upshaw blew it. It was a routine completion, a good call, and a good pass.

Agreed. It was on Upshaw. I was more annoyed about the defense promptly giving up points. And taking the game from 24-0 to 17-7 in a quick swing.

We killed them either way but things change fast in college football.

Agree. The game should have been 20-0 at minimum and dusted. Pitt would not have scored a TD if not for the short field, either.

Anyone questioning the scheme or Dawson must be miserable. This offense, with an inexperienced, patchwork line, is borderline unstoppable.

Ya’ll might kill me but we are running toney into the ground imo. And i worry about him lasting into brutal playoff stretch. Dnt get me wrong, he’s elite and needs most touches but 19 catches??!?!? And the next most wr’s had 3. Spread the ball around.
I even said this in the game day thread first game against Stanford and my boy @JamesQuall gave me a vomit emoji…

It’s not about not throwing him the ball and stats but I saw it then and it was the first game…

If you don’t get the other WR’s going and involved NOW it’s going to hurt us later in the season when we really need them…

Mali needs to be featured but when does it become overload?

That one pass was just an amazing play by the defender to knock the ball out of Coop's hands, sometimes the defense just makes a great play. Now anything else he was disciplined for I'm not sure.
