Dawson has also said he tries to find different ways to get Mali the ball.

I don’t think you’re giving Upshaw enough credit. He runs excellent routes and his blocking has been on point. I want to see more of Jacobs and Wingo to keep the Safeties on honest on both sides of the field with Mali out there but Upshaw’s route running has been impressive. He does not get the routes that Mali does to get targeted as much but watch the film. He is smooth.

There were guys open too. There will be a game probably multiple going forward where Toney is getting straight up doubled.

He needs to do a better job of spreading the ball around.

Dropped the ball???

Mensah led him into triple coverage and he got blasted on that play and I’m surprised he jumped right up.

He should have hit Briggs for the easy first down plus 5.
 
I’m okay with him throwing to Upshaw on the play as he was open along with Briggs. Or Mensah could have ran.

Mensah def has had plenty of check downs or WRs he could have taken as opposed to trying to force the big play to Toney or anyone else. It’s just kind of the trade off when you have a QB who believes in his arm like Mensah does.

We just have to live with it and hope that in crucial moments, he takes the gimmies to eventually get to the big plays
 
upshaw catches that ball and makes a cut which he likely does he walks in for a td...thats a bad drop...and coming off another "drop" im accounting at the end of the fsu game he should of easily made by coming back to the ball one more step......

he needs more jug work for sure....trying to cradle catch to **** much

Upshaw runs excellent routes. People need to rewatch the film. I’m all for getting Jacobs’s in there to spread the field some but not at the expense of Upshaw because of 1 drop. They need to use the spread uptempo offense some more because we were unstoppable. If anything bring Lofton out on a few more snaps.
