Jackson Cantwell is not hurt

Are we watching samson play? Rivers in 2024 was better at tackle imo. Seems everyone is just assuming with samson and not actually watching him game to game
Yes, I have. I think Mirabal and Mario would agree with me too.....

One of the biggest reasons Francis started right away is because he legitimately had no one else at tackle. If Francis was coming into a roster with two seniors with playoff experience (Samson and McCoy), he would have started off at guard. Just because Cantwell wasn't suited for guard doesn't mean the staff's opinion of him as a tackle changes. They still view him as a first-round talent. Heck, Francis is adjusting to playing guard. He's been pretty bad the last few games. As a Giants & Canes fan, I've been his biggest supporter. However, he needs to clean things up quickly.....
Francis was good enough as a freshman to make samson or mccoy stay at guard. We threw cantwell at LT the entire spring in hopes that he was good enough to start there. If he was near francis i think he would be playing or at least rotating in
Huh? Francis fresh year starting line was: Rivers, Cohen, Lee, cooper and Francis

McCoy nor Samson started and both were backup tackles. That was the year of Lou Cristobal getting guard snaps

You didn't comprehend what I said, did you? If the true freshman version of Francis were to come into this year's roster, he wouldn't have started at tackle. He would have played at guard. A big reason why Francis started at RT is that we legitimately had nobody else on the roster. Our offensive line depth was atrocious that year.

True freshman Francis wasn't starting over a Senior captain (with playoff experience) who is in their draft year. Get 25 Francis out of your mind

Francis wouldn't have started over a Senior captain with playoff experience (McCoy). Samson is 100% better than Rivers as a LT, so Francis probably wouldn't have started there either. People seem to forget this, but Francis struggled Freshman year. He only had a 67 overall PFF grade

Francis would be at LT, samson would be at guard. Francis had a 67 ovr grade his freshman year, Samson has at 63 ovr grade right now vs the comp we played

This is rivers in 2024..He’s somehow become underrated on this board

lol wasn’t directed at you. Was directed at the incorrect data from Francis fresh year with regards to McCoy and Samson

I agree with you, on this team a freshman Francis starts at guard and not tackle. My frustration with Jackson is the whole first month of the season was wasted with him getting very few reps at tackle. That was the time to throw him to the wolves per say and see what you got.

Wrong. The plan was always for Samson to play LT. Fans just ignored that because he wasn't available in spring. That was determined before spring even started

Zero sacks given up. On the fast track for a 2nd-round pick, maybe even a first rounder if he plays well in the playoffs.

Get 24 and 25 Francis out of your mind

Zero sacks given up. Only 5 total pressures all year. On the fast track for a 2nd-round pick, maybe even a first rounder if he plays well in the playoffs.

This is what i mean by you’re just assuming and not watching with samson lol

He got a taste of the Miami Latinas and can’t act right. Can’t imagine him going going back to the corn fields. lol all jokes aside, we really need Cantwell to work out because we are screwed at tackle for next year with Samson and McCoy leaving.

History has been re-written. I remember when Rivers came back from injury in '24 folks questioned subbing Bell in at LT and kicking Rivers inside for a couple of series each half, because Rivers basically never gave up sacks or pressures.

Hopefully he keeps getting better & finds his way into the lineup. You'd think he'd be playable by now? I think maybe he's been hurt idk. Doesn't make much sense.
