OK, outstanding…4/7 were his recruited players via The Portal, but I think u missed the point of the QP, so I’ll post it for u again for context:

“In the year Mario got here we had one 7th round pick. We just had 7 people drafted and a bunch of others get signed. Anyone who does not think he has massively increased the talent on the team is insane.

This is y context is important & reading thoroughly to understand why I respond the way I respond to QPs. This QP told us that based upon the 7 guys drafted + a bunch of signees = increased talent that “Mario brought in.”

Well, that would indicate that these 7 guys + UDFAs were all based upon what Mario brought in. So I asked specifically about the draft. By ur own response 3/7 were Manny Diaz players that he’s inherited. If we furthered this out: 5/12 were Diaz players & 7/12 were Mario’s transfer portal additions if we included UDFAs.

So the “REAL” talent brought in will be manifested this season. Long gone are the:
Kam Kinchens
James Williams
Tyrique Stevenson
Will Mallory
Andres Borreagles
Xavier Restrepo
Jacolby George
Jalen Rivers
DJ Ivey
Leonard Taylor
& all the other either draft picks or UDFAs (since all of a sudden we’re counting these, too).

Starting in 2025, this entire roster will be Mario’s, no more left over Diaz players. So if we’ve really increased the talent level it will be clear & obvious this season, b/c last season included a good chunk of Diaz recruits that was the core of our production.

Also, just a FYI…if anyone from the class of ‘22 gets drafted, I don’t wanna see no popping bottles, slapping honey on themselves caping for Mario, b/c that class was said numerous of times that’s not really his class.
I read the post you responded to. Are you trying to argue that Mario HASNT increased the talent level? Or are you upset that people are accrediting Manny’s last recruits (who btw played almost all if not all of their ball under Mario) to Mario? If not I really don’t know what point you’re arguing for. It’s undeniable that Mario has massively increased the talent level across the board. You can include UDFA’s if you want, my point still stands more players got drafted or signed that Mario brought in than not.

Everyone on this **** has some kind of agenda now. It's sad & frustrating. Plenty of **** I'm perturbed with Mario about. But everyone wants to put all blame on him. Zero blame elsewhere, yet 100 % of the credit elsewhere. ***** goofy.
Every player drafted played more for Mario than Manny. I also remember in season 2 of Mario when everyone blamed him saying whatever players he retained are his players because he chose to keep them in the portal era. So which one is it?

Of course but it still matters. Saban said for some big recruits he wanted what he used to do was just sit his rings on the table. He would let them know that every class he has brought in has been apart of a championship team.

You know what they said Kirby is pitching cantwell on? Winning and then being a 1st round pick. Basically telling the kid he won’t

@Brooklyndee Do you mind sharing your perturbance with Mario. I’m just curious if you don’t mind sharing on the board. I’m old and I remember the days when Miami was a NFL team playing in college. Young folks have heard but they’ve never seen except videos. Mario, to me, is fighting against all of college football because no one except Miami wants to see what used to be down here. He, more than anyone wants to see what it used to be.

At the end of the day, the way it is now, like he said, everyone on your team is a free agent. If that kid wanna go to Georgia, let him go. Fight like **** to get him but if he wants to go there I don’t want him because he’ll always be thinking about them. The kids that come here and want to stay, that’s the lifeblood you have to work to make the team great and he has gotten better players than we’ve had in 20 years. It took Howard 5 and that’s when there wasn’t no internet. It’s tougher now especially with the money on top of the table instead of under it. Some of these HS kids making more than pros. Whoever heard of a kid in 12th grade with an agent. Wild times yo.

I want to dig a little deeper in this, Miamis OL was better than UGAs last year, argument. We’re talking statistically.

First off, statistics never have told the whole story. There have been teams that lost games but statistically had every advantage. I want to point some things out that I think will surprise most of you in terms of, statistical category.

I think we can all agree that Miamis defense was generationally bad, correct? However, our defense statistically in ypg allowed was ranked 27th in the country. Thats better than UGAs too, 30th. Anyone willing to say we had a better defense? Statistically our defense allowed less ypg than 4 of the 5 conference champs that made the playoffs and were only like 15 yards pg off from Oregon.

Also, when saying the OL was better than UGAs. I think it’s fair to look at the difference in level of competition played defensively. The toughest defense Miami played statistically last year was, California. UGA was SEC Champs in the best defensive conference. UGA played 5 teams, in conference alone, that were all better than Cal in every statistical category. They faced the #3 defense in the nation twice in Texas. And they played a ND defense that ranked top 15.

Now, when you talk about the rushing ypg suffering. Everyone loves to talk about how Becks WRs were 2nd in the country in drops and he had a career worst in INTs. So that tells me what? These defenses were focusing on stopping the run and daring Beck to throw to these WRs. On the flip side, teams were focusing on Cam and our passing attack that led the country and our rushing game was kind of an afterthought.

Just some food for thought.

Question: out of the players drafted this year, how many were Mario’s recruits?
also i cant look at 5-7 rounders as touting all this talent. theyre basically fringe roster guys at that point. weve had instances in the past where we had all this NFL talent based on draft, but they were all late round guys. fact is, 2 guys went early in positions to start for an NFL team. the rest did not. compare that to the elite teams and see where it stacks up

some of becks INTs were TVD bad too. not all of it was drops or on his receivers.

Him posting this is kinda telling. Doesn’t mean jack **** for us. But him hedging is not good for them.

They did get ****ed with Justus Terry a year ago in a shocker commitment to Texas

They said they were recruiting him since his 8th grade, he had visited UGA over 25 times in that span

Only visited Texas once or twice, and Texas came in with a bag he couldn’t turn down
