Huh? You said we will have 4 OL drafted in the first 75 picks. I don’t think we will. Calling me Kiper doesn’t hurt my feelings, but you are the one originally predicting 4 OL in the first 75 picks. That’s more of a Kiper thing than me saying 4 OL from the same team won’t all be drafted before pick 76. Anyway, care to place a small wager on that? Im confident enough to put my money where my mouth is. If I lose, I pay you the bet and I’ll quit posting.
I am looking at experience and measurables
6’6 - 3 years starter
6’6 - 4 year starter
6’8 - Juco transfer with measurables
6’2 - NFL lineage

I can’t definitely see all 4 going in the first 3 rounds

Ok, well I appreciate your analysis of why you think they will all go first 3 rounds. Here is my reasoning on why I disagree with that take.

Mauigoa…agree with this one. He’s top 10-15 pick. Possibly higher. Dude is flat out beast.

Cooper…disagree piked by 3rd round, but I do think he will be drafted. Experience means nothing if you aren’t any good. See DJ Scaif. Now, I think Cooper is much better than Scaif, but he’s needs to improve a ton to be picked in top 3 rounds.

Mark Bell…disagree piked by 3rd round. He’s still a project at this point. He does have the measurables, but needs to start producing on the field. He’s not even draft-able as of now, but another full season may change that.

Brockermeyer…Disagree he will even be drafted. He’s a good college football player, but nothing more. Matt Lee was borderline elite and he didn’t get drafted until 5th round in last years draft. Only 3 centers were drafted in this years draft.
Not saying Brockermeyer won’t be drafted, but he has to turn from decent to elite this year to have a chance.

I hope you are right and I’m wrong. That means we will be in for a treat this season.

One thing you are forgetting is teams draft on potential. Bell is 6'8 and has bend for that size. He is being tutored by the best in the business along with McKinnie. U cant teach his measurables.

I have hard to time understanding why or how you think Cooper is not good. Like I dont remember Cooper giving up multiple sacks or getting beat multiple times. So I dont see your take on him not being any good. He is 6'6 330...thats a 4 years starter at Miami being coached by the best OL coach in college football.

Brockermeyer has what I call "Not what you know is who you know" When we make a playoff run that goes a long way with an OL whose dad played OL in the NFL and whole family played football. Call this take a hunch based off name, however you could be right about him.

I do think Cooper is good, as I stated in another post. I just don’t think he is 3rd round pick good. I’m not sure if you realize how elite you have to be in order to be 1-2 day draft. There are always exceptions to the rule (Tebow, Darius Hayward-Bay, etc…)

Measurables are important for the NFL, but I think they are a bit overrated. At some point, there has to be production and some good game tape. Bell doesn’t have any of that yet. Again, there are exceptions to the rule, but they are few and far between. Shemar Stewart would be an example this year. Great measurables, very little production.

Anyway, I digress. I’ll let you have the last word. This is a Jackson Cantwell recruiting thread and I don’t want to hijack it anymore.

This place is just as bad as I am at predicting. And I am soooo bad at it.

Yes, nfl gm’s love measureables. But we are talking about using the first round pick on a dude who’s primary responsibility is to protect the most valuable asset on a franchise. And last I checked the least valuable was the bengals at 4 billion.

You better have more than just a **** 40 time and be tall.
Didn’t Virginia have like 3 dudes a few years ago that were on ver 6’7? I think they’re LT was 6’10.
I mean if they went high based on size alone then yeah bell is a shot.
But he better play better.
Wasn’t he getting abused by that d-end from vetch until he got injured and left the game?

Im sure you saw X, JG3 and possibly Sam Brown off his combine getting drafted too!
