Another poster mentioned his name in a recruiting thread about punting/kickoff duties. He transferred from Florida as a walk-on. I didn't realize he actually punted against Clemson...SIAP.

His bio on Canes site says "Recorded first two punts of Miami career in ACC Championship Game against Clemson (Dec. 2), averaging 42.5 yards with long punt of 51." I can't fathom it getting any worse for Feagles so it's really only up from here. Another year of strength added and refining technique with his dad can only help.

Does Spicer have a shot to overtake Feagles next season though? What about kickoff duties...is that Baxa's job?

Wait, Feagles got benched against Clemson?

I stopped watching before halftime.

Yea, it got soo bad for feagles he tried some rugby style punt that was short as ****, almost every drive clemson had was + side of 50. They put him down like one of those sad horses.

Feagles was feast or famine this year. He'd lay 3 in a row inside the 10, then shank 3 in a row. If he could get the latter corrected, he'd be aces.

Almost every possession we didn't score in this year ended up in about a 15-20 yard loss in field position. After 2-3 of those drives the opponent is starting their possession in FG range or close to it.

I'm pretty sure almost every game Feagles recorded at least one punt less than 20 yards.

Considering we couldn't establish the run game early in games, Rosier being mediocre at best most of the time, and the pathetic punting I'm surprised we only lost 2 games. This is why the UNC, Syracuse, and others weren't blowouts.

Anyone giving feagles credit for some good punts, go back and check the tape. Any punt he had this yesr that could remotely be seen as successful was almost ALWAYS so bad/short that the returner didnt catch it (due to traffic), allowing it to bounce several times in UM’s favor. Feagles very rarely had any clean and successful punts. He is complete trash and should be sent pcking 1/1/2018.

Spicer's punts were pretty crappy, even though he got some yardage out of them. One was a low end over end that got a good bounce and the other was uneventful with a good bounce. Both guys suck.

I was there, stayed for the whole game (cold as fvck) but I was watching spicer when they came out for the second half warmups and him and feagles were punting from opposite ends of the field. I would say its generous to say that both of them averaged ~35-40 yards. They both suck

He was almost exclusively garbage. The good punts he had predominately got big Cane bounces or were from inside the 50. The hang time on his kicks is atrocious

His hangtimes were not bad. We gave up basically zero return yardage this year. I am sure he will get one more year to be the punter.

Punting is not just about pinning a team inside the 10__its also about hitting one 55-60 yards when you need to get out of your own end.Feagles couldn’t do that.Usually shanked itAT LEAST once a game setting the other team at around mid field.

We really need to get him competition in here for next year.

This has been our sequence for 90% of our games.

Play Chart
- Jeff Thomas kickoff returns to the 17 yard line.
- 1st & 10. Handoff to Homer gain of 2.
- 2nd and 8 Rosier throws INC. Inaccurate pass.
- 3rd and 8 Rosier throws INC. Inaccurate pass.
- 4th and 8 Feagles punt. 31 yard punt. Downed at the opponents 47 yard line.

Then the other team gets about 15-20 yards and kicks a 46 yard FG right down the middle with a walk-on kicker who is kicking 42% on the season because kickers on 100% kicker vs us.

Please start Spicer for the OB.

I feel you... That **** was hard to watch... I remember the score was 28-0 so I walked outside for a few... Came back in and it was 38-0. I thought it was my Roscoe Parrish jersey so I switched up and put on my Ken Dorsey. I had to realize luck can't save us this time...

His dad has been working with him on his technique all of his life.
90% of his punting problems are half mental.
