Absolutely gorgeous.

Didn't he leave on his own accord before the Summer? He didn't look good in the spring game. He quit on us if I recall. If anyone has more information let me know. I'm not a Richt apologist by no stretch but I'm not going to blame him for a kid that was scared to compete for a job that Richt wanted him to win. Again, if my facts are off let me know.

I believe Richt wanted a running QB. Remember Kaaya was supposedly the issue in year 1 because he wasn't mobile.

I thinks it’s so funny (not really) that Richt says he wants to run a pro style offense..... but with mobile QBs, and ran off the two best pro style QBs on the team in Kaaya and Allison.

Allison and Kaaya both left Miami as Richt was trying to teach them VCR repair in a Netflix world

That was just message board speculation. Richt has had very few running QB’s in his time so I doubt he’d run off Jack for not being one. (N’kosi isn’t a running QB either)

Wrong

“University of Miami redshirt freshman quarterback Jack Allison, who left the Hurricanes football program Tuesday morning, loves Miami, his father, Sean Allison, said, but he also loves to play football and didn’t think the future held that for him if he remained a Hurricane.

Sean Allison told the Miami Herald late Tuesday morning, about two hours after the younger Allison met with UM coach Mark Richt to tell him his decision, that his son “is a pocket passer, just like Mark said,’’ but that he believes the Hurricanes are heading to a more dual-threat, running-type quarterback system.

He loves Miami. We all love Miami, but the whole direction of the program is they want a running quarterback – a dual-threat quarterback,’’ Allison’s father said. “They want a different wrinkle in their offense.”

Him (or his dad) is on record saying that they transferred because Richt seemed to favor mobility more than he wanted to admit. Felt that Jack wasnt getting a fair chance considering he was a lot less mobile than the other QBs.

I wouldn’t be bummed out to see both knees fold in the opposite direction on the first play.
Wish that on Richt and his kid, not Allison

Richt is the one ******** this program.

When it is all said and done, I firmly believe Richt is gonna be the one taking the crown for ****iest Miami coach.

Golden, Radio and Crip keeper were worse, but our basis was 3 to 4 times less.

Everything is relative, and Richt and his Copy boy son are trash

Allison did what was best for him by leaving.

As I recall, he was far down the QB depth chart when he did leave here. I also do not recall hearing many complaints about him not getting a fair shake while here. Nor anyone posting that we were missing out on a good one when he left. It was generally considered a non-event

If he has developed into a good QB under a system that was better suited to his skill set ....then I say Good for him

He was down on the depth chart because of the shoulder injury he sustained when our genius of a coach tapped him as the starter in the scrimmage then went live. As soon as Jack was injured no other QBs were allowed to be touched. I have always felt it was meant to send him a message about his mobility. I also think he moved him down to frustrate him and get the result he wanted which was Jack leaving. I complained plenty. He had the best numbers by far of any QB in the next scrimmage despite not taking reps in practice to heal his shoulder.
