Why this kid hasn't been starting ahead of McCord and Kirby is Flucking unbelievable. Kid has speed, instinct and knows how to tackle and not get caught up in the wash. I felt like our defense had a different vibe once he came in and made a few big plays.

Typical clown show not getting this kid more burn until someone goes down and no ****s has to play him.

Elder should strongly consider returning. Burns is as good as gone, I think.

For what? To delay being compensated to play another year of free football?

Psh...I say all of these kids that are draft eligible and get a 3rd round grade or higher should bounce. Not to say that Elder is guaranteed a 3rd round grade, but if he got that guaranteed, he should bounce in a heartbeat.

He should stay if it means making a big leap in $ in his first contract. We'll see how the rest of the year goes for him.

IF Elder and Burns both leave then it will be ugly at CB. Mayes, Henly, Jackson and Redwine would be our only returning CBs.

Young did look good and has a bad *** facemask.
 
all i heard is people claiming that he was so bad in practice even though practices even though he showed up on every highlight reel and made the most plays during the spring game last year. with his measurables and athleticism you would think to give him a chance.
 
Seriously how everybody on this board talking about the crazy reach that was made on this kid and crazy to offer a scholly and then i read this thread you get these comments lol

No one thought Juwon young was a reach when we offered him a scholarship. However, there were people saying we shouldn't have offered him a scholarship a couple weeks ago
 
I couldn't count on both my hands and toes how many times I've watched Kirby completely take himself out of a play and filling the wrong hole on a run. Or running himself into a block instead of trying to go around or shed it.

He was a pretty good running back before he switched to linebacker in highschool too. Kirby made some plays this year. Yeah he wasn't Denzel but who is? He has played better than most linebackers we have had over the years. And remember he is an outside linebacker playing middle linebacker

I'm glad Young looked good yesterday and played well. I have never been excited about Kirby. That being said so many good players look like dog**** in this defense it's almost impossible for me to Form an opinion. Maybe young played well because he just reacted and played with instinct and aggression? If that's the case I'm sure he will be much slower and docile in the weeks to come. ****, many times this ******* staff made even DP look average. Cost that kid some money no doubt.

He aint that bloated up mane, stop over reaching on that, he is still quick enough to shoot gaps but heres the problem he doesnt do it the right way, takes horrible angles and whiffs on tackles, we saw the same before when he was a freshman, he also cant get off blocks, now is that coaching? Probably, our LB play has been crap

Back to young i was saying we screwed because i didnt like his play in the previous games, he shocked the **** out of me the kid looked quick, looked good in coverage and he hit the gaps way better than kirby, imma give this kid props for that, im not going to crown him until i see him do this against a good team
