Ivey's Interception on saturday

show signs of development and what Manny was preaching. trust your technique and dont panic. read the QB all play and found the ball. good play
thats what you see? who had the receiver he was originally covering? was Hall out of position?

Best play of Ivey’s career was the 1 on 1 perfect tackle of Poo Poo AssSmell in open space keeping him from the 1st down. That was heart warming to see a big kid like that tackle a tiny jitterbug out in space like that.
Not gonna lie i thought he was gonna get a mean move put on him. but big play

I think it the same coverage ALabama has made/called seen Saban has arrived .

(match up on 1 side and zone on other..)

There is a lot going on in that play on that side of the field. We bring Bandy on a blitz. Ivey is bailing to find a spot/zone on the field while keeping his eyes on the QB. I don't think Hall or Ivey is wrong at all on this play. Hall passes the receiver off to Ivey and starts coming down to the curl/flats area after realizing the guy was going outside to Ivey's area. It was 1st and goal from the 18, just a patch of grass the was going to be open with the corner blitz and the UL QB made the wrong read. Miami was trying to keep things in front of them and make the tackle at worst. Coaches thought the could get to him and put them back even further on a negative play or force a mistake throw/read.

Ivey hiccuped for a split second; probably unsure whether he should switch route responsibilities with Hall. Good recovery and an awful throw/decision.

Beyonce sure does look good running after people with his hair flying in the breeze. Lol.

Knowles was supposed to shift to cover that Zone once Gurvan rolls down, if Ivey bites on the underneath curl Tutu would've been wide open in the End zone because Bobby didn't recognize it quick enough.

But when you watch the play, I believe it's clearly obvious Manny knew what play was coming & where the ball was going, the whole play was contingent on Ivey being smart & not biting down on the underneath.

I agree with the second part but I am not sure about the first about Bobby rotating to cover that zone. If true, terrible alignment. Knowles is lined up on the opposite hash at the snap, he would have needed to be at a dead *** sprint as soon as the snap occurs to defend the corner of the endzone.
