He must be a hard *** worker in practice who’s the first guy to take the field and does extra work after practice.

Only way he could fool so many coaches for so many years despite his obvious limitations.

He’s not a P5 CB. Period.
And he LOOKS like your dream corner. His length, height, weight all exactly what you’d want. The lights are just too bright for him. It’s just the way it is.

If that's the case he wouldn't be starting for 3 different DB coaches 🤷🏾‍♂️He's showing something in Greentree that isn't being replicated when it's game time
That’s the way I see it. A lot of players in any sport, tear it up in practice then in the actual game just don’t show up. Maybe if we’re lucky tho after Steele watches film they’ll see what we see ?

Looks like I'm the outlier here.

If I didn't have so little faith in #8/defense, he would not have stood out as particularly bad in our mediocre cb play yesterday.

We don’t see “Maudes” or “@Maudes”. You’d have to tag us individually, assuming we’re on the board or at least report the thread with the report function which is the best way.

@Andrew , not sure why the main board wasn’t locked during the game but this thread is a good reason to do so.

Thanks,

Maudes &
@Maudes

Nah I like this thread. I’m tired of hearing the constant BS spewed each off season by ppl that Ivey has showed out in camp. Dude is a dud. Can’t tackle, soft, gets beat in coverage. Someone has to step up and take his spot. I don’t know who we have but **** put Avantea Williams or anyone out there they got to be better

We all saw the same thing yesterday, whether it was poor coverage, bad angle on the long first down or bad tackling on the pass over the middle.
I am going to trust that the coaches will see the same thing in film review and recognize that there is nothing there with DJ. This isn’t a guy who was poorly coached or maybe put into bad positions by the former staff; a case Flagg can likely make. This is just a guy who does not have the processing speed needed to play this game at the college level. The sooner egos are put away and the coaches realize there isn’t untapped potential just waiting to be found, the better.

Flagg is simply slow but has a good football IQ. He would look like a great FAU/FIU MLB.

As soon as I saw Ivey was starting, I figured the young kids hadn't shown enough to win the spot. I didn't watch the second half. Did anyone step up in that CB spot?

Ivey has the perfect body type for a corner just doesn't have the talent/gifts that make UGA OSU and Bama recruit u relentlessly
